Self-care has become a workplace buzzword - but are we thinking about it the right way?

For years, organizations have invested in wellness initiatives to support employee wellbeing. Those programs matter, but they're only one piece of the puzzle.

Real self-care also means ensuring employees can access the healthcare they need - when they need it.

For women, that can mean faster access to specialized, expert care for concerns that are too often overlooked, delayed, or dismissed. And for employers, it means building a healthier, more supported workforce.

This International Self-Care Day, we're encouraging employers to expand the conversation from wellness to healthcare.

Because supporting employee wellbeing isn't just about encouraging healthy habits, it's about improving access to evidence-based care.

When the mission is personal, purpose becomes the fuel 💜

Our CEO Lori Casselman recently joined Melanie Barr on the She Built It® Podcast for a conversation about building with purpose, the realities of women’s healthcare today, and the vision driving June Health forward.

The results are in.

When we asked our Women at Work webinar attendees which workforce challenge concerns them most right now, burnout & well-being came out on top - followed by employee retention, productivity, rising healthcare and benefits costs, and leadership development.

These priorities reinforce something we’ve been seeing more clearly: workforce challenges don’t exist in isolation from health. Women’s health, caregiving responsibilities, access to care, and life-stage transitions all shape how people show up at work, and how organizations perform.

This conversation is exactly why we created The State of Women’s Health at Work Report: to help employers better understand the connection between health and workforce outcomes, and where they can take meaningful action.
