Psoriasis doesn’t know age. Elena was 24 when her body decided to slow her down. I’m sharing her story with permission, though the name has been changed.

She was studying hard, pushing herself the way young, ambitious people do. She got some small patches at first and didn’t think much of it. But then it started spreading: her joints, scalp… She started having mirror anxiety every single morning.
Her mom found Ayurveda and suggested it. Well, let’s say Elena wasn’t exactly thrilled. Because a strict diet, completely new routines, and four weeks in India sound like a lot. But nothing else was working, so she decided to give it a try.
And I saw that it wasn’t easy for her. The treatment was intense, the diet in her case was strict, and some days she genuinely wondered why she was putting herself through all of this. But I must say doubt is part of the process, whether we like it or not.
But then things slowly started shifting. First, the inflammation calmed down, so the itch became manageable. She started sleeping through the night again. The condition became much better.
Eight months later she came back to the center in India. Nothing went wrong, she just didn’t want this to be a one-time thing. She actually wanted it to be how she lives now.
I find that’s actually the hardest thing to explain about real Ayurvedic healing. People need to understand that it’s not some kind of course they complete. It’s a different relationship with your own body.
But trust me, once you have that, you don’t really want to go back 🙂
