On June 15, these startups will take the stage at the >>venture>> Award Ceremony at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne. Each startup will have just 60 seconds to win over the audience before the live vote begins.

We’re proud to announce the 18 finalists of the 2026 edition of >>venture>>—Switzerland’s leading startup competition for early-stage ventures.

With a record-breaking 451 applications, this year has set a new benchmark for early-stage innovation in Switzerland. Being named a finalist is already a remarkable achievement—and the journey isn’t over yet.

🚀 On June 15, these 18 startups will pitch live in front of our Advisory Board before the winners—including the Grand Prize Winner—are announced at the Award Ceremony that evening.

🏆 What’s at stake?
• CHF 50,000 for each vertical winner
• CHF 10,000 for each vertical runner-up
• A CHF 150,000 Grand Prize
• PLUS a consulting package from McKinsey & Company for all vertical winners

Last Saturday, we gathered at the University of Bern for the Pitch Training Day 2026! 🎤

⭐ We were lucky to have incredible pitch experts share their knowledge with us. Yannick Orto and Andrew Loan from McKinsey Switzerland led “Pitching to Persuade” and Stefan Huber shared his magic with “The Pitching Canvas”.

🙌 Imagine having 20+ industry leaders in one room, all there for you. That’s what our semi-finalists walked into last Saturday. Each startup had the opportunity to work 1:1 with an expert having real conversations and getting real guidance. Our Semi-finalists could also practice their 5-minute pitch in front of our experts and their peers to get even more feedback.

🚀 The second round of the competition starts tonight, and we couldn’t be more excited to see these teams take everything they worked on last Saturday into the room. We’re rooting for every single one of you!

Our 2026 >>venture>> Semi-Finalists are coming together for an intensive Pitch Training Day at Universität Bern—and if it's anything like last year, they’re in for something special.

From hands-on workshops to one-on-one sessions with experienced experts, the day is designed to help founders sharpen their story, strengthen their pitch, and step into Jury Round 2 with confidence.

✨ The 2026 Spotlight Award Semi-Finalists are here, and what better occasion to reveal them than International Innovation and Creativity Day?

The Spotlight Award is a brand-new >>venture>> prize, introduced this year to celebrate bold ideas beyond the traditional competition categories. Each edition will highlight a new theme, recognizing startups that push boundaries and create real impact. The winner will receive CHF 50,000. 💰

For this inaugural edition, the focus is on the most creative and high-impact application of Apertus, Switzerland's new open-source LLM developed by ETH Zurich, EPFL, and CSCS―highlighting innovation, technical excellence, and real-world relevance.

And here are the nine startups that stood out! From secure AI infrastructure and privacy-first devices to compliance tools, agricultural intelligence, and AI testing solutions, these startups demonstrate how Apertus can power real-world applications while showcasing Switzerland's strength in deep tech innovation.
