Treating rosacea in men is often more challenging than it appears.
Many people assume that reducing facial redness is simply a matter of choosing the right vascular laser. In reality, male patients often present an additional challenge: facial hair.
Melanin within beard hair can compete with blood vessels for laser energy. This phenomenon, known as competitive absorption, may limit the amount of energy that can be delivered safely to the target vessels and often requires careful adjustment of treatment parameters.
That is why successful rosacea treatment is not just about having a vascular laser. It is about understanding laser-tissue interactions, selecting the appropriate wavelength, and tailoring the protocol to each individual patient.
In these photographs, we can already see a significant reduction in diffuse redness and visible superficial vessels, with a more even skin tone and a calmer overall appearance.
Rosacea is usually a chronic condition rather than a one-time problem. However, with the right treatment strategy, it is often possible to achieve a substantial and long-lasting improvement in facial redness and quality of life.
