Two bottles of rosemary essential oil can contain two different oils.
Rosemary grows in several chemical varieties. One is rich in verbenone, another in cineole. They come from the same plant, but they are used for different purposes and require different precautions. This is why a bottle labelled only “rosemary” tells a practitioner very little.
French Scientific Aromatherapy works from this level of precision. You choose an oil by its chemical composition, not only by the plant’s name or its scent.
This November, my school is hosting an online course with Elske Miles, a France-based therapist and educator with more than 30 years of experience in aromatherapy and reflexology. Elske trained in my methods, and I asked her to teach this course through us because her knowledge gives my students a deeper understanding of the oils I recommend in my treatments. The Essence of Scientific Aromatherapy covers distillation, chemical profiles, oils that require special precautions, and how to dilute essential oils safely for use in treatment.
6 LIVE classes and 6 Q&A sessions, 21 hours in total. 5 November 2026 – 27 January 2027.
