FROM MIDI TECHNIQUE® TO BIOIMPLANTOLOGY®
Over 11 years of professional training. An evolution toward a holistic view of the patient.
More than 11 years ago, we embarked on a journey dedicated to the advanced training of implantology professionals, sharing knowledge, clinical experience, and a distinct approach to implant treatments.
Throughout this journey, MIDI Technique® has championed minimally invasive implantology, thorough pre-treatment diagnosis, and individualized case planning, alongside continuous education and the development of new clinical perspectives.
Today, that journey evolves and expands with BIOIMPLANTOLOGY®.
What does this evolution mean?
It means understanding that implantology should not be limited to the surgical procedure or the placement of an implant. Treatment must consider the patient as a whole, evaluating the biological, anatomical, biomechanical, and functional factors that can influence diagnosis, planning, and clinical outcomes.
From this perspective, Bioimplantology® integrates the study of five key areas:
1. BONE
Assessment of bone structure, quality, architecture, and biomechanical behavior, taking into account each patient's specific conditions.
2. TISSUES
Study of soft and peri-implant tissues, focusing on their biological characteristics and their importance in maintaining health.
3. IMPLANT AND PROSTHESIS
Selection and planning of the implant system and prosthetic rehabilitation, considering the anatomy, biological conditions, and mechanical demands of each case.
4. OCCLUSION
Analysis of occlusal contacts and load distribution, using tools that allow for the study and objective assessment of key aspects of occlusal behavior. 5. INTEGRATED FUNCTION
A study of the relationship between the musculature, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), mandibular movements, occlusion, and the system's functional behavior, incorporating diagnostic methods appropriate for each clinical situation.
Our philosophy
Clinical experience has led us to uphold a fundamental principle:
AN IMPLANT SHOULD NOT BE STUDIED IN ISOLATION, BUT RATHER AS PART OF A BIOLOGICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM.
It is not merely a matter of placing an implant, but of studying, diagnosing, planning, and treating with a perspective that takes into account the specific characteristics of each patient.
That is why our training program continues to evolve: moving from the experience gained through the MIDI Technique® toward a broader concept of implantology—one in which diagnosis, biology, biomechanics, prosthetics, occlusion, and integrated function all play a pivotal role.
Over 11 years of training and shared experience form the starting point for this new phase.
We remain committed to professional training, the exchange of knowledge, and the development of an implantology practice grounded in the individualized study of each case.
BIOIMPLANTOLOGY®: from implant technique to the comprehensive study of the patient.
