Genuinely Gina

Genuinely Gina To live a genuine life, the first simple idea is to realise that everything starts with you. Everything starts with you including making the way forward.

Spiritual awakening is remembering that we can live a free, fearless, powerful life. From the moment you open your eyes and start your day, every second of every day you are the key to the quality of your life, you are the common denominator: you take yourself wherever you go. The second is understanding that everything you do is a choice. How you think is your choice. Whatever you choose to do โ€“

or say, even not choosing is a choice. Every choice has consequences. If you choose to do nothing differently your life will carry on in the same old way. It is absolutely your choice. Do you want to stay stuck where you are or are you ready for something different, something better?

Some people think confidence means never wavering.
No hesitation. No doubt. No visible insecurity.

But real confidence, quiet confidence, does not come from having all the answers.
It comes from tolerating uncertainty without turning it into a verdict about your worth.

Because here is the part we rarely say out loud.
When we are unsure, we usually do not just feel uncertainty.

We feel judged.
By others.
By ourselves.
By the version of us we think we are supposed to be.

So we rush to control the outcome.
We over-explain.
We hedge.
We book extra meetings, extra research, extra reassurance.

We volunteer for approval like it is oxygen.
We say โ€œjust checkingโ€ even when we know we are negotiating permission.
We soften our truth to make it easier for someone else to digest.

And we tell ourselves it is professionalism.
It can look like maturity.
It can also be fear wearing a smart outfit.

The strange thing is, the more we prove ourselves, the more fragile we become.
We start depending on reactions to decide who we are.

If they respond, we relax.
If they donโ€™t, we spiral.

Not because we are weak.
Because our nervous system learned an old lesson.

That acceptance is safety.
That recognition means we belong.
That if we get it right, we will finally feel secure.

Then something happens.
Usually in a moment that feels small at the time.

A conversation where you donโ€™t explain yourself perfectly.
A decision you make without a guarantee.
A boundary you hold even though you can feel the discomfort in your chest.

And in that moment, you notice it.
The fear is there, yes.

But it is not in charge.

So you stop negotiating with your fear by convincing it.
You stop trying to banish doubt like it is an enemy.
You begin to understand doubt is not always a sign to retreat.

Sometimes it is simply your mind protecting you from embarrassment, rejection, and โ€œnot enough.โ€

So you learn a different kind of bravery.
Not the bravery of being fearless.
The bravery of being present while you feel uncertain.

You do not wait until you feel ready.
You do not wait until everyone agrees.
You do not wait for your self-worth to arrive on schedule.

You move anyway.
Briefly.
Honestly.

And then you discover something that surprises you.

You can survive being seen.
Even when you are not polished.
Even when you are not certain.

The world does not reward the fearless.
It rewards the real.

And the real version of you does not need to be perfect to be credible.
It just needs to be willing.

What if your next step is not asking you to prove yourself?
What if it is asking you to trust yourself enough to move, even briefly, without certainty?

In this transformative episode, Christina Robinson explores how mindset, resilience, and self-belief can turn life's greatest challenges into opportunities for growth and redesigning your life. From overcoming a childhood marked by an alcoholic father that left her believing she was less than average, to building a successful marketing business and becoming a CEO, Christina shares her philosophy of "Show up and back yourself." She reveals how she rewrote the story of her life by taking radical responsibility for her thoughts, beliefs, and actions, and how standing authentically in her power allowed her to create a life she designed and loved.

When a routine cough on January 2nd, 2025 caused a spinal disc to compress the nerves at the bottom of her spinal cord, leaving her unlikely to walk again, Christina applied everything she'd learned about mindset and resilience to her recovery. She introduces the COF framework (Community, Own Your Vision, Find Reality, Get to Work, and Happy) that she now uses to mentor entrepreneurs and individuals facing adversity. A must-listen for entrepreneurs seeking authentic leadership, anyone navigating personal or health challenges, those interested in mindset and resilience, people building businesses, leaders wanting to work with authenticity, and anyone looking to redesign their life with intention and joy.

In this powerful episode, Ed Tytherleigh explores why leadership is the biggest single variable determining organizational success and social impact. With 30 years of experience across the nonprofit sector as CEO of three charities and now founder of Nonprofit Impact, Ed shares his journey from making sandwiches for homeless people at 19 to building a framework for transforming how nonprofits, charities, housing associations and local authorities create lasting change.

Ed shares practical insights on creating psychological spaces where people prosper, building authentic teams, and maintaining alignment across every aspect of an organization from recruitment to performance management. He explores how leading for social impact is not overwhelming when you follow a clear process, and why every interaction, policy, and decision must reinforce your mission.

This essential conversation is a must-listen for nonprofit leaders, charity executives, housing association directors, local authority managers, board trustees, social entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in authentic leadership, creating positive social impact, organizational alignment, team development, mission-driven work, psychological safety, and building organizations where people and communities thrive.

In this transformative episode, Helen Amery explores what happens when you're successful on the outside but nothing quite feels right on the inside. As a coach and emotional health specialist working with CEOs and founders, Helen shares her powerful journey from high-achieving perfectionist to discovering the deep work that actually creates lasting change.

Drawing from her 12+ year transformation as founder of Wild Fig Solutions, Helen reveals how she moved beyond awareness and reframing to addressing the real source of limiting patterns. She discusses the MACE energy method, a breakthrough approach that clears the patterns holding people back rather than just managing them. Helen explores her unexpected spiritual awakening journey, from skeptical scientist to discovering direct path non-duality, and how this foundation transformed her approach to helping others reclaim their authenticity and agency.

Helen challenges the myth that success equals fulfillment and reveals why so many high achievers are living their parents' dreams, their partners' dreams, or society's dreams instead of their own. She discusses radical responsibility, emotional health in leadership, and how removing what's in the way naturally reveals who you really are.

This essential conversation is a must-listen for CEOs, founders, high achievers, perfectionists, coaches, mentors, leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in emotional health, authentic leadership, personal transformation, spiritual awakening, breaking limiting patterns, reclaiming agency, and discovering what truly drives you.

Some people spend years trying to prove they are enough.

Enough to be respected.
Enough to be accepted.
Enough to be successful.
Enough to deserve a place at the table.

It can become exhausting.

Always achieving.
Always performing.
Always shaping yourself into the version you think other people will approve of.

You start living as though your life is an application for a job nobody has actually offered.

But then something changes.

You realize the people you are trying so hard to impress are often too busy worrying about themselves to notice your performance.

And suddenly, the pressure begins to lift.

Because proving yourself was never the same as knowing your worth.

You do not become less ambitious when you stop seeking approval.

You simply stop using your achievements as evidence that you deserve to exist.

You stop asking:

โ€œWill they approve of me?โ€

And start asking:

โ€œIs this actually who I want to be?โ€

That shift can change everything.

Because there is a quiet freedom in no longer needing an audience to validate your life.

You can create without applause.
You can grow without announcing it.
You can succeed without needing everyone to understand.
You can simply be yourself without turning your life into a performance.

Perhaps the goal was never to become impressive enough for everyone else.

Perhaps it was to become honest enough with yourself.

So ask yourself:

What would you create today if you knew you did not need anyoneโ€™s approval?

What would you choose if nobody was watching?

Sometimes, the greatest freedom comes when you finally stop trying to prove that you are enough.

Because you already are.

In this game-changing episode, James Colistra reveals how vulnerability is your ultimate competitive advantage in the age of AI. As the founder of Wonderfish media and PR company, James shares his inspiring journey from being laid off at the top of his corporate game to building a thriving business helping entrepreneurs amplify their voice through authentic storytelling and podcast strategy.

Drawing from his 20+ years in media, marketing, and advertising, James explores why real, human stories are the only thing AI can't replicate and why telling your truth is no longer optional if you want to stand out. He discusses the power of finding your voice, overcoming the shame and embarrassment of career setbacks, and how vulnerability isn't weakness, it's your edge.

James breaks down his "always-on" approach to building authority through strategic podcast placement, leveraging technology to analyze shows, and using long-form content as the ultimate trust-building tool. He challenges the myth that you need to have the "most inspiring story" to make an impact, proving that authenticity beats perfection every time.

This essential conversation is a must-listen for entrepreneurs, content creators, business professionals, job seekers, coaches, consultants, anyone navigating career transitions, and everyone interested in authenticity, personal branding, storytelling, media strategy, AI in business, building trust, emotional resilience, and discovering your unique voice.

In this compelling episode, Keanna Hinson-King explores how stigma shapes identity and resilience when navigating the care system, cultural identity, and finding your passion. Taken into care at age six under a special guardianship order with two white British male guardians while being of mixed Caribbean and white British heritage, Keanna shares how multiple intersecting stigmas around being in care, race, and family structure impact young people. She reveals the misconceptions people hold about care leavers, the real barriers they face including financial independence and lack of family support systems, and how finding passion in horses became her pathway to healing and purpose. Through her journey to university studying equine performance science, Keanna demonstrates how resilience, self-worth, and the right mindset can transform stigma into fuel for success.

Keanna emphasizes that breaking stigma starts with education and non-judgmental parenting from a young age. She shares powerful advice on maintaining self-worth despite criticism, building healthy relationships after trauma, and the therapeutic healing that comes from working with horses. Her dream is to help neglected horses and give underrepresented children access to equine work as a tool for peace and stability. A must-listen for anyone navigating stigma, in the care system, seeking resilience and healing, interested in equine therapy, and committed to creating a more inclusive society.
