Orchard Lodge Care Home Orchard Lodge Care Home is a 74-bed care home offering compassionate, person-centred support for older people living with dementia and frailty.

Orchard Lodge is a wonderfully positioned, purpose-built residential care and nursing home in Armagh. Our home benefits from views of the two local cathedrals and the surrounding city from most of the bedrooms, main lounges and all dining rooms. Here at Orchard Lodge, we offer professional, person-centred residential and nursing care, as well as specialist care for those living with dementia. We are also registered to provide care for young people with physical disabilities. All our private, light and spacious bedrooms are fully-furnished, with the benefit of en-suite facilities. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. Our facilities are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the assistance of 24 hour care. Our kind and compassionate care and nursing teams are fully trained to provide reassuring, compassionate support, companionship and comfort, with the utmost dignity and respect, so that all residents feel safe and secure living in our lovely community.

As we celebrated dog week we had an unannounced visitor to see what all the fuss in Orchard was about. He was incredibly friendly, enjoyed some snacks and plenty of cuddles, and quickly made himself at home. ❤️🐶

What better way to celebrate National Dog Day than with a very special visit from Stitch! 🐶❤️ Our residents absolutely loved meeting him and enjoyed sharing stories about the pets they’ve had over the years.

We also got creative with some lovely dog-themed artwork, making it a fun-filled day of memories, laughter and creativity! 🐕

A huge thank you to Stitch for making our day extra special! And for his mummy for singing us some wonderful songs and keeping us entertained 🐾🎤

🍰 Anyone for Cheesecake??
Today our residents enjoyed a deliciously fun activity — making their very own cheesecake! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

There was lots of mixing, layering and, of course, a little bit of tasting along the way! 😋 Everyone got stuck in and enjoyed working together to create a tasty treat.

The best part? Getting to sit down afterwards and enjoy the cheesecake they had made themselves! ❤️

Safe to say, it went down a treat! 🍰✨

It was lovely to see our residents enjoying some special time in our sensory room.🌿✨ A little time for quiet, relaxation and reflection, taking in the calming environment and enjoying some peaceful moments.
Afterwards, it was straight into their duties of helping to mind our little residents — and they did an absolutely wonderful job! 💕 They took to their responsibilities brilliantly, and everything went down a treat. 🥰

Today’s activity was all about having fun while developing our motor skills, accuracy and spatial awareness! 🎯👏 Everyone got involved, practising coordination, focus and precision while enjoying the challenge. Great effort from everyone!
