I'm not diagnosed ADHD but as the lovely Sarah Bredin-Kemp said last week, 'Justine, there is ZERO % that you are not ADHD.' ππ
My particular brand of ADHD is being a finisher. I hate not finishing things. Which is a good quality but not when it's at the detriment of eating/rehydrating/resting/sleeping/staying warm or having a wee! - or being on time - if you know me you'll understand this one! π₯΄
It's also difficult when you're working on something with your Mrs Repurposeful CIC friend, who favours the 'starts but doesn't finish' ADHDer mode. Do we fully finish a task or leave it?!! π«£ She told me about a concept of open loops last week - if you want to do or finish something and can't, it leaves a loop open in your brain, which is like a big energy drain - and my goodness, do I know that feeling!
So, yesterday I endeavoured to finish a few 'open loops' and strike some things of that never ending to do list. The more enjoyable bits were completing this pic and decorating my kitchen door. The different colours on each door panel aren't flowing in the way I wanted. So this still feels like an open loop π© but, the actual design is done - I just need to revise some of the colours on the top and bottom panels. Probably never gonna happen tbh. Maybe I'm a finisher of sorts?
