"Take care of the marriage and the s*x takes care of itself."

It's one of the most damaging myths I hear. And it simply isn't true. Not after the kids. Not after the hormones shift. Not once the honeymoon heat fades.

Because for most couples, that early heat does fade. And when it does, s*x stops happening by accident. From then on it happens on purpose, or it mostly doesn't happen at all.

And that matters far more than people think. A healthy s*x life is good for your spouse, good for you, good for your marriage, and good for your kids to grow up in a loving home.

Sitting back and waiting to "feel like it" tends to produce the opposite.

So you don't wait. You treat it the way you treat your health, your money, your children. You find your green light. You tend to it on purpose and with love.

And where there's a genuine no, you get curious about why, and you address it.

⚠️ This is for marriages that have become s*xually flat, not abusive or coercive. If yours is genuinely unsafe, none of this advice applies.

Many believe a healthy marriage automatically means thriving s*x. This video explains that's a myth. Especially after years or big life changes, intentional effort is crucial for intimacy to flourish. *xLife

When your husband desires intimacy, he's not trying to take from you; he's seeking connection. Understand that s*x is a vital part of a marriage, a way for him to bond, attach, and de-stress. Embrace it as a source of profound warmth and happiness for both of you.

I'm going live with Jeff St. James on the Ask a Brotha Podcast for a wide-ranging conversation about love, s*x and how men and women actually show up for each other.

We'll be getting into the topics most people tiptoe around: why so many marriages become s*xless and what each partner can do about it, the five lies about female desire that quietly wreck relationships, what a relationship contract is and whether you need one, and how phones and social media are reshaping intimacy.

We'll also tackle the bigger picture. My critiques of modern feminism and its effect on relationships, whether there really is a "war on men" or just a lot of noise, what women can bring to the table to build something lasting with a good man, and the most misunderstood thing about men I've learned over years of working with couples.

You asked, so here it is! 💛

Introducing the Good Wife Club - a private, women-only community to build a marriage you actually love being in.

This is NOT about being the quiet, accommodating wife. It's about bringing your best self to the partnership and learning to bring out the best in your husband. Speaking up for what you need with warmth, keeping intimacy alive on purpose, and being the woman at the heart of a marriage you both treasure.

Inside you'll get:
➡️ Monthly live group meet with Laura (4th Friday, 6.30pm UK)
➡️ A private space to ask Laura your questions
➡️ Community support with other Good Wife Club members

➡️ First access to new courses, intensives and events as they open

So many of you have told me you'd love to work with me but can't reach the one-to-one fee. This is your way in full access, woman to woman.

And because we're just getting started, you join as a founding member and lock in the lowest price the Club will ever be.

Love is not enough.

Why do some couples thrive, whilst others fall apart? The difference isn't luck, and it isn't even love. It's a set of rules two people choose to live by. A marital code.

Here are my ten. Swipe through 👉

Make your marriage the priority, above the kids and the work.

Tell the truth, even when you don't want to.

Keep having s*x, and treat it as intentional, not automatic.

Do your own work, so your spouse doesn't pay for your old wounds.

And drop the negativity, because resentment is death by a thousand cuts.

The full video is on YouTube, and there's a free one-page printout for your fridge (both linked in bio).

What would you add to your own marital code? Tell me below 👇

Your husband needs to be your top priority, not an afterthought. As do you to him. Prioritizing your marriage with small physical acts of touch shows him he's on your team and strengthens your family more than you realize. Little touches matter.

When intimacy fades in a marriage, it's more than just a lack of physical connection. For men, it can lead to internal conflict, unexpressed pain, and profound despair, impacting health through heart disease, depression, and a weakened immune system. This emotional battle takes a serious physical toll.
