🌟 Meet Stasha! 🌟

If you haven’t had the chance to meet her yet, we’d like to officially welcome Stasha Baffoe, our new Dementia Care Manager at Signature at Banstead.

Stasha has worked in care for 15 years, with the last seven years dedicated to luxury care homes. She was previously a Deputy Manager, giving her a wealth of experience supporting both residents and staff.

A caring and friendly person who genuinely loves what she does, Stasha believes exceptional care means treating every person as an individual, listening to them, respecting their choices, and making sure they feel valued, safe, and truly at home.

For her, it’s all about the little things, building meaningful relationships, and going that extra mile to make someone’s day better.

We are thrilled to have Stasha as part of the Signature at Banstead family and she can't wait to get to know all of our residents, families, and staff. 💜

A Seaside Trip to Littlehampton! 🌊

Our residents loved hopping on our home bus for a wonderful day out to Littlehampton beach! 🏖️

Everyone enjoyed soaking up the fresh seaside air, tucking into some lovely food, and even enjoying some delicious mussels by the coast.

Scones Away! 🧁

We were so happy to support our friends at MHA Communities East Surrey with their annual summer party by providing fresh scones!

It was a wonderful celebration filled with fantastic music from harpist Margaret Watson and a brilliant raffle raising £172! A big thank you to the amazing team that put everything together.

We love being part of such a wonderful community. Here's to many more fantastic summer events together! 🎉

🫐🌿 A berry lovely day out! 🌿🫐

Our residents headed out to the beautiful Ranmore Common for a spot of blueberry picking, making the most of the fresh air, stunning surroundings and, of course, plenty of delicious blackberries! 🧺🫐

We’re so lucky to have our own bus, allowing residents from across all our communities to safely get out and about, explore the local area and enjoy everything our wonderful community has to offer. 🚌💜

Trips like these are a fantastic opportunity to enjoy new experiences, stay connected with the community and, most importantly, make plenty of memories together.

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon exploring the history behind afternoon tea, discovering how the tradition began and how it has evolved over the years. 📖✨

Of course, no afternoon tea lesson would be complete without enjoying some of the food along the way! 🫖🥪🍰

☀️Summer BBQ at Signature at Banstead! 🍔

What a wonderful afternoon we had for our Residents’ & Families’ Summer BBQ! 💜

Amazing food, great company and, thankfully, beautiful weather made for a brilliant day. We kept everyone hydrated with plenty of water 💧, with a little Pimm’s making an appearance as the evening cooled down! 🍹

And of course, the entertainment was a highlight! 🎶 Simon wowed our residents with a fantastic show, bringing plenty of music, laughter and smiles to the afternoon.

A lovely day spent together with our residents, families and team, exactly what summer should be about! 🌿☀️

🌟 Meet Grace! 🌟

If you haven’t had the chance to meet her yet, we’d like to officially welcome Grace Nabus, our new Nursing Care Manager at Signature at Banstead.

Grace is a registered nurse with many years of experience across the NHS and care homes throughout the UK. Her career began at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, caring for the Chelsea Pensioners, before progressing into senior nursing, training, quality assurance and leadership roles. She was also honoured with the Royal College of Nursing BAME Rising Star Award for her contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having previously served as Deputy Manager at Signature at Coombe Hill Manor and held roles in clinical education, quality assurance and clinical management, Grace brings a wealth of experience, compassion and leadership to our community. She is also a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar and one of the first recipients of the Social Care Management and Leadership Programme.

We are delighted to have her as part of the Signature at Banstead family. 💜
