🥐 Good food, good mood! 🥐

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day, and here at Signature at Banstead, we hosted a series of special events across the home to bring our residents, staff, and community together to focus on wellbeing and self-care.

What better way to feel better than with some fantastic food? We firmly believe a delicious meal or cheeky snack can be the ultimate pick-me-up, so we kicked the day off right with a morning breakfast treat, offering a choice of freshly baked pastries or a cheeky breakfast sandwich to start everyone off with a smile!

🌸 What a blooming marvellous afternoon! 🌸

We had a wonderful turnout in the home recently as our fantastic volunteer Jocelyn Cooper, hosted a special presentation all about our award-winning flowers for our residents!

Drawing a fantastic crowd, Jocelyn shared the stories and care behind our stunning floral displays, highlighting how our beautiful blooms brighten up the home and the wonderful wellbeing benefits they bring to everyone. It was a lovely, engaging session filled with conversation, admiration for the garden, and plenty of smiles.

A huge thank you to Jocelyn for her time, passion, and for sharing her green-thumbed expertise with us! 💜

🎯 Bullseye! What an incredible Darts for Dementia Awareness Day we’ve had here at Signature at Banstead! 🎯

Across all our communities in the home, we brought everyone together for a brilliant day of darts designed for all mobilities—meaning everyone could get involved, take aim, and join in the fun.

The absolute highlight of the day? Our "Beat the Manager" challenge! Residents eagerly stepped up to the oche to try and outscore management, leading to plenty of friendly competition, cheering, and lots of laughs. Paired with some fantastic bar snacks, it made for a truly memorable afternoon.

Thank you to all our wonderful residents and staff for making it such a special day full of energy, community spirit, and awareness for a cause that means so much to us. 💜

🌟 We smashed it! 🌟

Yesterday, the team from Signature at Banstead took on the Shine Walk for Cancer Research UK, and to say it was challenging would be an understatement! We braved torrential rain and a proper downpour the whole way round, but our spirits didn't dampen for a second. 💪🌧️

We are so proud to share that we have raised an incredible £2,305 so far for such a vital cause. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has supported, cheered us on, and donated. 💜

We Won the President's Cup! 🏆🌿

🌟 What a fantastic community day! 🌟

Yesterday we had an absolute blast heading down to the Preston Community Event at Preston Park!

It was wonderful to connect with so many local families, neighbours, and partner organisations. From the bustling fun stalls and delicious refreshments to the amazing atmosphere, it was a brilliant reminder of what makes our local community so special.

We loved chatting with everyone who stopped by our stall to say hello, learn more about life at Signature at Banstead, and share in the fun. A huge thank you to Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Maria Hewson for organizing such a wonderful, vibrant day out for everyone. 💜
