Lots of our wonderful staff and their families are completing a sponsored walk to raise funds for our residents.

These funds are used to pay for the activities within the home providing some much needed morale to our fabulous residents.

You are warmly invited to attend an informal and informative presentation on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
We are pleased to confirm that the session will take place at Bargoed Care Home on Monday 2 June at 11:30am.
This presentation is designed to be helpful, accessible, and practical, offering residents, relatives, and friends the opportunity to better understand their options in a relaxed and supportive environment.
What will be covered:
What a Lasting Power of Attorney is
Why LPAs are so important and how they protect the person making them if they lose capacity
The key differences between LPAs and Wills
Why, in many situations, an LPA can be more immediately valuable than a Will
The benefits of putting LPAs in place sooner rather than later
How LPAs work in practice and how professional support can help create them
There will also be time for questions and informal discussions, and attendees are very welcome to speak directly with a solicitor for general guidance and advice relating to their own circumstances.
