As a child, I saw stinging nettles as nothing more than a troublesome w**d, something that caused an irritating sting whenever I brushed past it while walking or riding my bike.
Today, with a better understanding of nutrition and herbal traditions, I see this remarkable plant very differently and am continually amazed by its benefits.
During our recent event trip to Malta, a local farmer gave us a tour and would pick nettles with his bare hands and eat them raw, having become accustomed to their sting over the years. It was fascinating to watch!
I love nettle soup - surprisingly delicious. One of my personal favourites is nettle tea, an enjoyable way to incorporate this incredible plant into your routine ☕️
If you’d like to give it a try, we stock nettle tea here in the store: https://littlebarnhealth.co.uk/collections/organic-herbal-teas/products/organic-nettle-tea
Better yet, next time you’re out for a walk, why not harvest some fresh nettles yourself? 🍃
