Recommendation 5: Invest in neurodivergent-led peer communities as core infrastructure.

Running a business can feel isolating, and for many neurodivergent founders that can be even more challenging.

That's why Recommendation 5 from the Neurodivergent Entrepreneurship in the UK report calls for greater investment in neurodivergent-led peer communities.

By investing in peer networks, we can reduce isolation, encourage learning through shared lived experience and create spaces where founders can connect without feeling they need to mask.

Accessibility is having a 'moooo-ment' Why? Because it doesn't just help your legal requirements. It makes shopping easier for every customer too.

As Rob Oakley, Founder of Oakley Home & Gifts, puts it:

β€œHaving the app on our website is a no brainer partly due to selling into the EU and US where it is now a requirement but also it helps customers navigate our website and makes shopping easier.”

When accessibility is built into the retail experience, everyone benefits... and buys.

Customers find what they need more easily. Navigation becomes simpler. More people can complete their purchase with confidence.

Compliance is important. Better customer experiences are what makes the real difference to your bottom line.

Read the Oakley Home & Gifts case study to see how accessibility reduced WCAG errors by 79% and supported stronger SEO, AI visibility, and customer engagement.
