🌙🕌Eid Mubarak!!!🕌🌙
Today we had the great privilege of making one of our residents Dr Kiwan’s wishes come true by accompanying him to the mosque. It was a deeply special spiritual experience that brought him comfort, happiness, and a wonderful sense of community and belonging.
Dr Kiwan was able to reconnect with his faith and spend time in a familiar and welcoming environment which had a positive impact on his personal wellbeing, reminding us all how important dignity, choice and connection are.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our Senior Care Assistant Ahmed. Your kindness and understanding in supporting our resident to attend the Mosque and celebrate Eid Al Adha, as he did before moving to Metchley Manor, meant a great deal to him and his family.
A massive thank you to Chef Abs who curated a beautiful Eid Menu comprised of:
🍲Chicken Lentil Soup or a Variety Borerk with Yoghurt,
🍗Lamb with Couscous in Tomato with French Beans, Courgette and Chickpeas, or
🥘Aloo Gobi, Cauliflower and Potato Curry served with Pilau Rice and Naan Bread
🍮Sheer Khurma, or
🍰A selection of Traditional Eid Mini Desserts
Dr Kiwan expressed ‘the multicultural atmosphere at Metchley Manor is special and uplifting’, he also added ‘it was very nice for me to attend Eid Al Adha prayers with Ahmed and Abs, the atmosphere at the Mosque was so special’
Moments like these are at the heart of what we do, supporting our residents to continue fulfilling their lives with experiences that matter most to them!! The compassion, respect for individual beliefs and dedication to person-centred care truly reflect the values we strive to uphold!!🤲🥰💜
