August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month 👶👀

Meet William! 💙 This little superstar is Lucy’s, one of our lovely Opticians’, little boy and he also happens to be Andrew’s grandson! 🥰 This is William’s story...

At the age of 2 1/2 years old, William started wearing spectacles. Lucy noticed a few months prior to this that William’s left eye was turning towards his nose when doing concentrated tasks, such as eating ice-cream!🍦

Lucy brought William into practice for a sight test with one of our wonderful Optician’s Karen, who previously worked as and is a qualified Orthoptist. Following this appointment a referral was needed to the hospital eye services. He is now happily wearing his Tomato Glasses UK aeroplane spectacles and even has a pair of sunglasses with Mr.Tickle on! ✈️🧡

Children’s vision plays such an important role in their development, learning and everyday life. That’s why looking after their eyes from an early age is so important. 👀✨
