Our Summer Fair was filled with fun and community spirit. Alongside an incredible showcase of talented local craftspeople, visitors enjoyed our popular tombola stall, a delicious cake sale, and the launch of our new CRUMBS merchandise.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended (including Mayor Roberto Rocca), donated, volunteered and supported the event, we raised just short of Β£1,000 for The CRUMBS Project. Every pound raised will help us continue making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.

More than just a fundraiser, the day was a wonderful opportunity to share a little CRUMBS joy with our local community; a celebration of kindness and connection. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day a memorable success πŸ’›

James and Jane made a fantastic team in the kitchen today as they prepared a delicious lunch of spaghetti and meatballs, complete with a rich tomato sauce made by trainee Mark 🍝

In these photos, James can be seen carefully refining the meatballs he had prepared, ensuring each one was the same size before cooking. Paying attention to details like this is an important part of developing strong cookery skills, helping to ensure even cooking and a great final dish.

It’s wonderful to see our more experienced trainees continuing to build on their confidence, refine their techniques, and take pride in producing such fantastic meals.

Well done, everyone!

A little reminder that our Dorset Plane Pull JustGiving page is now live!

We’re hoping to raise Β£3,000 to help support our amazing trainees as they continue their story with The CRUMBS Project.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide life-changing opportunities, build confidence, develop skills, and create brighter futures.

If you're able to give, we'd be so grateful for your support. And if you can't donate right now, sharing our page with friends and family is another wonderful way to help us reach our goal.

Together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for being part of our journey ✈️

Support The CRUMBS Project as they take on the Dorset Plane Pull, an epic event that will see teams of 20 pull a 35,000kg Boeing 737 over 50m in the fastest time. A unique test of strength and community spirit raising vital funds for amazing causes.

Today, Ella successfully passed her Sandwiches and Snacks Assessment as part of her Food Preparation and Service qualification πŸŽ‰

After planning her chosen sandwich and creating a step-by-step recipe last week, Ella put her skills into practice and produced a delicious Cheese, Onion, and Mushroom Toastie πŸ₯ͺ

This assessment required Ella to demonstrate a range of skills used in a commercial kitchen, including selecting and preparing ingredients, following a standard recipe, using equipment safely, applying cookery methods, and presenting the finished product (quite the list of skills)!

We're incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication Ella has shown throughout the process. Congratulations, Ella, on passing your assessment; here's to many more delicious creations to come 🌟

Each showcase is a celebration of the journey our trainees have taken and what they can achieve with the support of The CRUMBS Project team.

It's always inspiring to see the growth in their confidence, skills and professionalism, with the standard of cookery and service continuing to reach new heights at every event.

These evenings are about so much more than great food. They give our trainees the opportunity to demonstrate how far they've come while sharing their achievements with family, friends and supporters.

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we also raised over Β£1,000 (including Gift Aid), which will be reinvested into training resources to help present and future trainees step into their own light πŸ‘
