Join us NEXT FRIDAY for BDP's 40th Birthday Picnic in the Square! 🎉🩷🪩

🧁🥳 We'll be celebrating our 40th year of service with a day of free activities, music, food and soft drinks, open to all service users, staff, trustees, partners and more!

👀 We're also launching something special...

🎨🖌️ Want to share your words, art or thoughts with us? We're creating a collaborative art piece that reflects your experiences at BDP, and we'd love as many people as possible to be a part of its creation.

🩷 We want this piece to feel like the heart of BDP, created by service users and anyone who has a connection to our service. The hope is that the piece lives on and serves as a reminder of our lovely Bristol community.

Head to Brunswick Square next Friday to join in on the festivities!

Bristol has officially been declared a ‘City of Harm Reduction’ in a recent council meeting.

👉 While Bristol has held the values and practices of harm reduction for many years, this title represents Bristol’s commitment to harm reduction, autonomy and person-centered support.

🩷 At BDP, we have been providing evidence-based support, rooted in harm reduction, for the last 40 years. This motion serves as a commitment for us, along with Horizons Bristol , our partners and other organisations to continue to break the stigma, treat people with dignity and compassion, and take an evidence-based, public health approach to drug use, that focuses on meeting people’s needs and reducing harm.

💬 “Bristol is a diverse city and it needs diverse approaches... harm reduction is about doing what works... I’m proud to live in a city that stands for this.” - Lydia Plant, CEO
