🔴 Another Fantastic Day with the Community Reds! 🔴

Yesterday was another fun-filled day for the Community Reds team as we delivered one of our Community Outreach sessions with Age Connect in Margam.

Yesterday’s activity was New Age Kurling, and everyone got involved, had fun and, of course, enjoyed a little bit of friendly competition! 🎯

We started the session with a gentle musical warm-up before getting into a competitive game of New Age Kurling.

It was Team Red vs Team Blue, and after the Blues had been in front for most of the game, Team Red came through strongly to finish as winners by 50 points! 🔴🏆

But, as we always say, it’s not all about winning — it’s about taking part.

Yes, it’s nice to have that winning feeling, but for the Community Reds team, it is about so much more:

❤️ Bringing people together
❤️ Creating opportunities

Most importantly, it is about our commitment to “Ensuring Nobody is left sitting on the Bench.”

Yesterday’s session delivered all of that — and more. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other, having a laugh and enjoying being active together.

🌍 WORLD MASTERS WALKING FOOTBALL CUP – 2027

With the dust now settled on the World Masters Walking Football Cup, held here in August 2026, the final evaluation feedback forms have now filtered through, enabling us to complete the Final Evaluation Report.

The evaluation asked players, officials, volunteers and supporters what they enjoyed about the event, what worked well and, importantly, what could be improved for future World Masters events.

The feedback has been extremely positive and encouraging.

It has also highlighted a couple of areas that we will share with the next host country, England, in 2027, to help them build on the success of this year's event.

And there is some fantastic news…

Subject to a successful venue inspection and the signing of the appropriate contract, our Community Reds Outreach Team will be involved in delivering the World Masters Walking Football Cup in England in 2027. 👏⚽🌍

This is fantastic news and a real testament to the hard work of everyone involved in making the 2026 event such a success.

The players, officials, volunteers and supporters clearly enjoyed their experience, the welcome they received and the facilities here at Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC.

Now we have to build on that success and make 2027 even bigger and better!

It’s another packed weekend of football for all the teams at Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC.

🔴 Friday Night: Andy and the boys make the trip to Haverfordwest in the Novira Cymru Premiership, hoping to kick-start the season and return to winning ways following three straight defeats.

🔴 Sunday: Briton Ferry Llansawel Women are back at home looking to make it two wins from two, following last weekend’s fantastic 4–1 victory away to Barry Town United.

⚽ What a start for the Briton Ferry Llansawel Women! ❤️

The Briton Ferry Llansawel Women kicked off the new season in fine style with an impressive 4–1 victory away to Barry Town United. What a great way to start the season! 👏⚽

I hope everyone who made the trip down the M4 had a fantastic day and enjoyed celebrating a great result. Well done to the players, management and everyone involved. ❤️

It’s a new week here at the Community Reds, and with no Outreach Sessions today, it’s time for us to get into the office and evaluate, plan and implement changes to our Inclusion Sports Programme — continuing our commitment to “Ensuring Nobody is left sitting on the Bench.”

🏏 Inclusion Blast Pirates

With the nights beginning to draw in, it won’t be long before we put away the pads, bats and balls for another season of our weekly Inclusion Blast Pirates cricket sessions, delivered in partnership with Port Talbot Pirates Cricket Club.

It has been fantastic fun and a real pleasure watching and working alongside our players each week — helping them develop their skills, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy the game.

A huge well done to everyone involved. It really has been a blast! 🏏👏

And we have some fantastic and exciting news coming up regarding our cricket partnership and programme.

Port Talbot Pirates Cricket Club has been named as one of Cricket Wales’ new Disability Cricket Hubs, as they look to grow and develop disability cricket across Wales. 🏏❤️

More information about this exciting development — and how you can get involved — will be shared shortly, so watch this space!

We are looking for individuals who would like to support and help with the many projects, initiatives and activities that make up the Community Reds Outreach Programme.

It was another frustrating result at the Renewable Centre Stadium last night.

First of all, well done to Airbus and the handful of supporters who made the long journey down from the north. We hope you enjoyed your visit and had a safe journey home.

In my role as the Club’s SLO & Disability Access Officer, I get the opportunity to meet some really nice and interesting people, and yesterday’s game was another one of those occasions. Meeting and greeting visiting supporters, as well as our own home fans, is a big part of what I enjoy about the role.

It was fantastic to hear the Red Brigade bringing the noise, enthusiasm, passion and support throughout the game. 👏🔴 Well done to everyone involved.

Once again, we didn’t quite get the rub of the green, but that’s football. We have to dust ourselves down, put in the work both on and off the field, stay together and keep believing. I’m sure the results will change. It’s still very early days, and there is plenty of football to be played.

🏟️ Supporting Our Fans

As part of my SLO & Disability Access Officer role, after every game I complete and forward my SLO report. This includes information about any issues or incidents, along with feedback from the away SLO, supporters and stewards.

These reports are helping us to listen to our supporters and make positive changes.

As a result, we have produced a new Briton Ferry Llansawel Fans Guide, and we will soon be introducing a Junior Fans Charter and Junior Fan Club for our younger supporters.

This is an exciting new initiative which will raise the profile of our Junior Supporters and help us continue to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

Keep an eye out for the posters and details of the launch event.

Most importantly, we want our Junior Supporters to have a voice and a part to play in the success and future of following Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC. ❤️🖤

And best of luck to Briton Ferry Llansawel Women, who kick off their Premiership League campaign with a trip to Barry Town United.

Finally, a huge thank you to Wyn, Tom, Tom and the Board for the allocation of 50 matchday tickets for home games at the Renewable Centre Stadium.

These tickets will be used by the Community Reds Outreach Programme, giving people we work with across the local and wider community the opportunity to come along, experience live football and become part of the Briton Ferry Llansawel family.

This is another fantastic example of how One Club – One Team – One Community can make a real difference.

It’s back under the lights at the Renewable Centre Stadium tonight as Andy and the boys return to Novira Cymru Premiership action.

Tonight we welcome newly promoted Airbus, who have made a strong start to life in the Premiership. Their last outing saw them record an impressive 6–2 home victory over Holywell.

So tonight’s task certainly won’t be an easy one as Andy and the boys look to bounce back from two consecutive defeats and get back to winning ways.

The atmosphere at our last home game was absolutely cracking, with over 1,000 supporters inside the stadium. Let’s see if we can create more of the same tonight!

It’s been a quieter week on the delivery side of the Community Reds Outreach Programme, but behind the scenes we’ve certainly been busy!

We’ve been working on our Autumn Programme, alongside putting the finishing touches to our new Volunteer Training Programme.

The training programme will be broken down into several different sections, helping volunteers develop a wide range of transferable skills that can also be valuable in the workplace — particularly for individuals looking to improve their employability and explore new employment opportunities.

As part of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own personal portfolio, demonstrating the knowledge, experience and key skills that employers are looking for.

From communication and teamwork to organisation, leadership, confidence and practical volunteering experience, this is an opportunity to develop, learn and grow while making a positive difference within your community.

LIFE, FOOTBALL & THE CHALLENGES WE FACE ⚽️❤️

In life, just as in football, we will all face setbacks, challenges and disappointing days. But it’s how we respond to those setbacks — and the actions we take afterwards — that can ultimately determine the outcome.

For many of you, this is an important week as you start a new school year, perhaps begin college or university, or even start a new job. Along with the opportunities that come with something new, there can also be a mixture of excitement, apprehension and uncertainty.

The important thing is to embrace the change, put in the work, give it your best effort and never be afraid of a challenge. Hopefully, those efforts will bring the rewards you are working towards.

Yesterday was a disappointing result for Andy and the boys, and for the many supporters packed into the Renewable Centre Stadium. But, just as in life, we have to dust ourselves down, learn from what happened, put it behind us and get ready to go again.

And that's exactly what the boys will do as we get ready to welcome newly promoted Airbus to the Renewable Centre Stadium on Friday night, 7.45pm kick-off.

It’s another opportunity to put things right — and they’ll need your support once again.

Just like football, life will bring us good days and bad days. Yesterday was one of the bad ones.

But one result doesn’t define a season, and one setback doesn’t define us.

We learn.
We improve.
We work harder.
And we go again. 💪⚽️❤️

It won't be an easy afternoon against the league leaders, especially as the boys look to bounce back from Friday's disappointing result at Cardiff Met. But there's nothing quite like being back at the Renewable Centre Stadium, with the Red Brigade behind them, creating that atmosphere and pushing the team on.

Before the game, the Gaffer will host his second Meet the Fans session in Bar Red.

Our very own Stuart Williams will be in the hot seat, putting your questions to Andy and members of the first-team squad.

A great opportunity to hear directly from the people involved with the team, so make sure you get involved!

Today's game is also Academy Sign-On Day, as all our young Academy players sign up to either begin or continue their footballing journey with Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC.

Congratulations to everyone who has recently joined our growing Academy Programme. 👏

And there's an extra special role for our Under-9s, who will be today's Matchday Mascots, walking out onto the pitch alongside the players at the start of the game. ❤️🖤

🔴 BACK HOME FOR BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY! 🔴

A disappointing result on the road last night for Andy and the boys, but there’s no time to dwell on it as they have the perfect opportunity to get things back on track when they entertain Barry Town United at the Renewable Centre Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday.

After a string of away games, the boys are back at home – and they need your support! 👊

So let’s see if we can fill the stadium, get behind the team and make plenty of noise as the Reds look to get back to winning ways! 🔴⚽️

🌟 A SPECIAL DAY FOR OUR ACADEMY

Monday will also be an important day for our Academy players, as they take part in their Academy Signing Day at the Renewable Centre Stadium.

For any young player, signing on is a hugely exciting and important moment as they officially begin their football journey. Following the signing ceremony, the players will be invited to stay and watch the first team in action.

Our Under-9s will also have the honour of being our matchday mascots for the game. 👏⚽️

We would like to wish all of our young Academy players the very best for the season ahead. We hope this is the beginning of a fantastic football journey filled with fun, friendships, memories and plenty of opportunities to develop. ❤️

❤️ COMMUNITY REDS – ANOTHER BUSY WEEK!

As you may have seen across our social media channels, it’s been another busy and action-packed week for the Community Reds Outreach Programme.

Our fantastic team of volunteers have been out and about delivering fun-filled inclusive activities, as well as hosting our first Community Sports Day in Seven Sisters.

It was fantastic to see children and parents getting involved together, taking part in a range of races, games and activities. And, as always, the emphasis was firmly on participation, inclusion and having fun.

When the weather took a turn for the worse, with thunder and lightning making an appearance, we simply moved the event indoors to the Community Centre! 🌩️

What followed was a fabulous afternoon, with everyone joining in, having a go and enjoying plenty of fun, laughter and encouragement along the way. 😊

A huge thank you to Seven Sisters Community Council for the invitation, and to everyone who came along, took part and supported the event.

Most importantly, every participant went home with a fun medal 🥇 and, hopefully, some fantastic memories.

🌟 Another Fantastic Morning with the Community Reds! 🌟

Yesterday was another fun-filled morning as we delivered our latest Community Reds Outreach Programme session up in Cimla.

🎳 New Age Kurling and 🥣 Indoor Bowls were the activities on offer, and it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved. The venue was once again filled with laughter, encouragement, smiles and plenty of fun — with our ethos firmly at the heart of everything we do:

🏏 Tonight it's Inclusion Blast Pirates Cricket!

We head back to our weekly Inclusion Blast Pirates cricket session, delivered in partnership with Port Talbot Pirates Cricket Club.

We are still recruiting players to join us, and with a couple of fixtures still to fulfil before the curtain comes down on another season, there is plenty more cricket, fun and friendship to come.

Our Outreach Programme is designed to promote and improve physical health and mental wellbeing through fun, engaging and inclusive activities.

Every session is adapted to meet the needs and abilities of the individuals attending, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate, have fun and feel included.

Our sessions are delivered by a qualified and experienced team of volunteers, with our Disability Inclusion Lead bringing over 45 years of experience delivering sporting opportunities for disabled and socially excluded members of our local and wider community.

As mentioned yesterday, Friday sees Andy and the boys travel to Cardiff Met for the latest round of matches in the Novira Cymru Premiership.

Then it's back to the Renewable Centre Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday, when we welcome Barry Town United.

Let's fill the ground, get right behind the boys and create that famous Red Brigade noise! 🔴📣

It’s another morning of Inclusion Sport here at the Community Reds, and today we’re off to Cimla to deliver a session for Me Myself and I at their weekly social morning.

Our Community Inclusion Sport sessions provide a fantastic opportunity to promote health, wellbeing, social interaction and participation through sport. Every session is adapted to the needs of the group, because our ethos is simple:

“Nobody Sitting on the Bench.”

We have a fantastic range of inclusive activities we can deliver, including Chair Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Boccia, New Age Kurling and many more.

Yesterday, we were with Age Connect in Neath, delivering a New Age Kurling session. It was a fabulous morning filled with fun, laughter and plenty of competition, with the Blue Team taking victory with the final stone of the morning! 🔵🏆

Community Reds — Another Busy Week Begins

As we kick off another week of fun, frolics and inclusion here at the Community Reds Outreach Programme, today we’re heading out for another session with Age Connect Neath Port Talbot.

As always, there’ll be plenty of fun, participation, laughter and, most importantly, people coming together.

Because our ethos remains simple:

❤️ “Ensuring Nobody is left sitting on the Bench.”

🏆 WORLD MASTERS — YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS

As the dust continues to settle on last week’s incredible World Masters Walking Football Cup, we’ve already started looking ahead to next year’s event in Birmingham.

Our World Masters Evaluation Form has now been shared across various platforms, and we would love to hear from everyone who was involved — whether you were a player, team official, volunteer, referee, supporter, Games Maker or part of the wider event team.

The feedback will play an important part in our planning for next year.

We want to build on what worked well, celebrate what was successful and learn from what we could have done better.

It’s still early days, but the response so far has been incredibly positive. However, as with any major event, there are always lessons to be learned, and these will be highlighted in our final World Masters Evaluation Report.

Away from our Community Outreach Programme, the Community Reds have plenty of other irons in the fire as we continue working with the club and local community to promote and support Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC.

This includes our volunteering and matchday roles at both men's and women's matches at the Renewable Centre Stadium, as well as providing information and support for supporters travelling to watch the mighty Ferry — both home and away.

🔴 RED BRIGADE ON TOUR

Through the Community Reds, we also support the Red Brigade as they follow the Ferry up and down the country.

This Friday night, the Community Reds minibus will once again be on the road, this time heading to Cardiff Met for another night of Novira Cymru Premiership action.
