The MenB vaccine is being offered to some older teenagers and new students under 25 who are at higher risk of exposure to meningococcal group B bacteria.

If you’re eligible for the MenB vaccine, it’s important you take up the offer before you start your new semester of university or college. Remember, if you’re eligible for the vaccine you can self-consent.

Dear patients,

If you have a blood pressure monitor on loan from the surgery and you are no longer using it can you return it promptly to the surgery as we currently have none to loan from Broadford. This can have an impact on patient care as we may possibly have patients with undiagnosed high blood pressure or who require a change in treatment.

We are updating the Dangerous Dogs legislation.

This will require that children under the age of 12 are not left unsupervised near a prohibited dog in a private or domestic setting.

It will apply to all types of prohibited dogs and come into force on 1 November 2026.
