JULY'S SISTER CIRCLE ❤️

What a fabulous gathering we had last night. We discussed PAST LIFES, and shared our experiences.
I just love our meet ups so much, We cover some really interesting subjects, among all the other things we do.
But whatever it is, we always weave in the full spectrum of emotions, of what we're feeling. (We always manage a good measure of laughter 😃)
Free to share, or not, all is good.

I'm really enjoying seeing people get to know each other, listening, & sharing our thoughts & ideas. It's just beautiful, its turning into a lovely wee community.

We have recently welcomed a few new people, which has been great. If you'd like to come along to our August gathering just pop me a wee message.

Today I honour;
🌹 Mary Magdalene.🌹
A woman of courage, wisdom and so much strength.
She walked her own path at a time when women were not seen really for anything, let alone a spiritual teacher.

Her story truly inspires all of us that seek truth, equality and the courage to live authentically, I know that's what she has done for me.

Over the last couple of years, I've really felt such a pull towards her, she has encouraged me to trust, myself my own beliefs, and my own inner knowing.

So today many of us honour her, to acknowledge the woman she was, and the inspiration she still offers to so many women finding their own voice, today.
I hope we each have the courage to trust what feels true in our hearts, and to walk our own path with love, wisdom and strength.

Happy Mary Magdalene Day.🌹 ❤️🌹

Ive just finished a book a friend loaned me called "HAGITUDE" and it was a really good read.
It covers alot about Womens journey of getting older.
The author speaks about;

- The changing shape of our body

- How our looks change, and the battle/pressure that women have to stay looking eternally young

- And the inner wisdom that comes through ageing.

And she weaves her writing through folk stories from all different cultures.
There were a few key things that really struck me, she speaks about how in a lot of different cultures they have,
ELDERS - yet within our culture (uk) we have "the elderly" 😮😮😮, that really hit me. As on a whole we dont really have this inbuilt belief of having elders do we?

I just love speaking to older people, they hold the stories of old, the secrets and traditions of our family lineage, our culture, for example the other day one of my clients who was nearly 90, told me about her gran thst was a suffregette, i mean wow, i was all in listening to her story.

And then it really got me thinking about how some of us seem to take on other cultural practices so readily for example "sageing" when in fact we have our own cleansing & blessing practice called "Saining " using our own native herbs, & water.

I mean dont get me wrong I love learning from other cultures I've always loved the native American culture, it feels part of my make up some how, BUT,

Scotland - England - Wales & Ireland have such rich magical and ancient history. Wouldn't it be good if school delved deeper into this ?

Over the last five years I find myself connecting deeper to the land & my own lineage and there are some really good teachers that share the knowledge of the Celts such .

Let me know what your thoughts are on this conversation ☀️

🌸🌸🌸ROSEBAY WILLOWHERB,🌸🌸🌸 also known as Fireweed, is one of my favourite plants to work with in my Saining bundles.
Theres just something magical about this plant, its also known as Fireweed, because this plant is so resilient its often one of the first plants to grow from the ashes of a fire.

So it really is a resilient wee plant.
When i work with a plant I like to tune into its energy, and straight away i can't help but smile because its such a pretty plant with its vibrant pink flowers. For me it carries a strong feminine energy, it communicates that through destruction, theres growth thst follows, strength within it beauty.

So its a perfect plant for smoke cleasing, when i weave this plant within my bundles I set the intention for,
Cleansing - resilience & the energy of new beginnings.🌸🌸🌸

It also makes an amazing therapeutic tea as well 😉

🌸if you fancy having a fun couple of hours making some bundles, and journeying with a plant allie, then please come along to my workshop,

How's your week going so far, this weather is fabulous dont you think, its so beautiful feeling the sun on your skin. I'm not a big sun bather anymore but just feeling it, and having the light its like food for your soul, dont you think?

Ive had a lovely chilled day, out for lunch with a friend then home sitting in the garden working on my next sister circle gathering, where were discussing past lives and how they can help you in this life.

I LOVE this topic, I think mainly because, I've naturally remembered quite a few, and they've all helped me heal, or brought awareness into an aspect of my life.

What about you, id love to hear if you have had any experiences with a past life ?

🌞and if you'd like to join us, we gather Sunday 26th July @ 6.30pm in Caldercruix, just give me a wee message xx

This morning I read a post on a Linlithgow page about a mother's journey advocating for her daughter, who was repeatedly let down by both her high school and the local council.
For almost a year, her daughter was bullied by a couple of boys, yet very little was done.

The school told her her mum,
"Your child is overly sensitive." 😬
One teacher even said,
"They'll move on to someone else soon."😡
You get the picture.
Thankfully, this mother was having none of it.

Reading her story took me straight back to my own daughters time at primary school as she was severely bullied for much of her time there, and looking back, I still carry some guilt from that time. So when I was reading this I felt so proud of this mother, and the lengths she went to to protect her girl.

She also highlighted that as a society, we have been culturally conditioned to tolerate far too much of this kind of behaviour. I'm specifically about boys bullying, harassing, or intimidating girls.
I am 55, and I have many stories of inappropriate behaviour from boys in the classroom when I was at school, that were brushed aside or laughed off. (I'd bet many women reading this have stories of their own).

But times ARE changing.
There is more awareness now, more people are recognising that this kind of behaviour is not harmless, they are not "character building", 🙄, and they are not something girls should simply learn to live with.

The days of "BOYS WILL BE BOYS"
are OVER.

I will post the link to her story in the comments.

So how was your weekend ?
Up here in Scotland its been a "dreich" couple of days, the rain has not stopped...🌧
But its been a relaxing weekend for me, walks in the rain, falling flat in the mud, eating from my veggie patch, and admiring my beautiful roses, aren't they gorgeous 😍. So really the rain has allowed me slow down, which tbh was needed.

How was your weekend, us Scots love a chin wag about the weather, whats it like where you are ?
