✨️ Tummy Time "Roll and Reach" Game! ✨️

Just one of the fun activities we will learn in September's Tummy Time Workshop at Portskewett and Sudbrook Recreation Hall!

We will explore OT approved holds and activities suitable from birth to 6 months, and talk about why Tummy Time is such an important part of your baby's play diet - and guess what, it NEVER involves leaving your baby alone on the floor on their tums!

We build up from tummy to parent positions, to independent floor lying with you right there with them, and then as their core develops and neck strength improves you can move on to games like roll and reach! We also explore lots of gentle sensory activities and resources you can enjoy together to support your little one's development.

The session is relaxed and totally baby led, so feel free to feed, change, and settle your baby as needed - you will be added to a Facebook group afterwards, packed full of ideas to enjoy at home.

This session is just £12 for one hour of play inspo - I especially welcome babies who appear to "hate" tummy time, so that we can work together and find a position they are comfortable in.

I am also qualified to support babies with additional needs who have been given medical consent to practice tummy time, so please do reach out if you would like to chat about your little ones' needs before booking 💛

Monday 7th September, 10am - 11am, 4 SPACES

Tuesday 8th September, 10am - 11am, 5 SPACES

This is one of my favourite workshops ever and packed with play inspo - see you there! x

Classes may have finished for a few weeks but preparations will soon be underway for us to head to the incredible Between The Trees - we LOVED working at this festival last year with the Little Hygge Caravan, providing a safe place to land for families to feed, change, and rest with their little ones amongst the trees 🌳

It was our first time working at this festival last year, and we met some of the loveliest people, took part in some fascinating experiences, our children spent their time barefoot and free, and the music was so beautifully curated across the stages - we left a little piece of us behind in that forest and can't wait to return! We are also excited to see our favourite local band Rusty Shackle are also performing there this year!

If you are coming along you will find us in the magical Sylvania area ✨️

Come and say hello! x

Reflecting this morning on not only how lucky I am to have a job that I love, but also how grateful I am to attract some of the loveliest families to classes.

Connection, simplicity, and meeting you where you are at will always be at the heart of what I do.

I have been guilty in the past of dwelling too much on negative things - why didn't they book? Did they enjoy this? Why didn't they come back?

But something I have learnt in my 13 years of teaching is that I am not for everyone - and that is ok! How lucky we are to have so many amazing classes in our local community to choose from, and the most important thing to me is that families find spaces that feel safe and align with them at such a vulnerable and ever changing time in their lives.

And then there are those families who have walked in to my class with a bump, and left with a 4 year old wearing a school uniform for the first time.

Those who share entire maternity leaves with me.

Those who say "anyone fancy a picnic in the park / trip to Castell Coffi" at the end of a class to the whole group. .

Those who hold space for each other when we share how we all are - the authentic answer, not the "I'm fine".

So whether you have done one class with me or you have lost count, I want to thank you.

Thank you for choosing me and Little Pips - I may be sat on the mat at the front of the class, but YOU have built the community, and for that, I am so grateful.

... and that's the hall door shut on Little Pips until September!

What a LUSH term with the loveliest of families across all classes, thank you so much for making memories with me ❤️

It has been an emotional few days with some tearful goodbyes from those heading back to work, but how lucky to have shared this time together and my door is always open and the kettle on 😘

And we had a very special ending to Piplings today, when one of the little ones who has been with me since he was a bump, celebrated his 1st birthday at his last ever Piplings class! He will be back in September causing chaos with the Friday toddler group, and I can't wait 😂

All photos have been sent out - I hope you love them! xx

The Piplings Sensory Stretch and Sing crews are loving their rainbow parties this week, and my heart was SO full after yesterday's session of splashing, watching them all explore, and seeing the wonder in their eyes when the fibre optic butterfly wings made an appearance 🦋 I can't wait to do it all over again this morning! x

Today I have had to say goodbye to some of my long term regular families who are heading back to full time work, and I am always so sad to see them go. Watching your little ones grow, develop, and learn is the privilege of my life - thank you for sharing such special moments with me, I never take it for granted 🥹 xx

PIPS PLAY TODDLER DEVELOPMENTAL PLAY!

This class is always the highlight of my week!

✨️ Suitable for little ones aged 1 to 3 years (inclusive)

✨️ Rooted in OT Approved Developmental Play developmental play, we enjoy singing, parachute fun, and free play time to explore a weekly theme.

✨️ This session gets messy, so a change of clothes and a towel is a necessity!

Mondays are fully booked with my current group, but watch out for Fridays going live this week 😍

Piplings Sensory Stretch and Sing

Piplings is tailored to support babies development through massage, yoga, movement, song, and themed messy and non meesy play! This popular course includes 4 weeks of videos to enjoy at home and a photo week too 📸

This class is best suited from when your baby has good neck control (minimum age of 16 weeks) until they turn 1 year of age. Messy play activities are suitable from weaning, and there are always non messy play options for those who don't like getting messy - follow your little ones lead.

So what is Piplings?!

✨️ As with all Little Pips classes, we start with time a good natter, giving you the chance to share and of their ups and downs from the week.

✨️ You and your little one will then enjoy a playful blend of stretching and singing, scarf play, and tummy time play too!

✨️ Babies thrive on rhythm and repetition to make strong neural connections in their brains, so you can expect lots of catchy rhymes and songs along the way! (Don't worry if you can't sing - I certainly can't! 🤣) Rest assured that your baby just loves the variation of tone in your voice and isn't judging you!

✨️ Each week, we will engage key areas of your little one's development, including crossing the midline, their vestibular system, proprioception, visual tracking, hand eye coordination, and more...

✨️ Remember, I am qualified to teach baby massage and baby yoga for little ones with additional needs, so please do contact me for a chat if you would like to come along so that I can tailor the class for you. Allergies are also catered for in the messy play, and Little Pips is a NUT FREE environment.

✨️ Sensory play themes are easy to recreate at home and are tailored to not be over stimulating for the babies. Themes include beach, woodland, farm, ocean, pond, weather, car wash, and many more! These are all specifically tailored to encourage heuristic, baby led play to support this important stage in your little ones' development.

Who is joining me to play in September?! 😍
