Under The Sea week with the Pips Play Toddler crews has been so much fun!

🪼 We made our own jelly fish, giving the tots the opportunity to practice their grasping, pincer grip, and hand eye coordination. The older tots loved thinking of names and personalities for their new little friends too!

🦀 We used hands and tongs in the Jelly Crab Rescue tray.

🐚 Everyone loved sinking their hands into the blended Cheerio 'sand', using spades to dig and hunt for starfish and shells, and creating shapes.

🪼 We loved giving the spaghetti jellyfish haircuts using the toddlers safe scissors, and using our pincer grip to use tge spaghetti to make shapes.

🐠 The dried rice and lentil tray was the perfect ocean exploration tray to hunt for fish, and the sound of the rice being tipped into shell bowls sounded like waves crashing on the shore.

🌊 And the under the sea tent was a lovely place to explore sequin fabric, under the sea books, and make wave sounds with the drum.

What a lovely week, thanks everyone! xx

Good morning! I am here at Portskewett and Sudbrook Recreation Hall and ready to fill your cup until 11.30am ☕️

Donations are so appreciated to keep this special group running...

☕️ £2.00 is the suggested voluntary donation, and funding is there to cover costs for those unable to pay - please be reassured that I never ask who has and has not paid, the donations box is discreet, and it's more important to me that you come along than whether you put any pennies in the pot 💛

☕️ £5.00 covers refreshments and allows me to buy the slightly posher biscuits 😂

☕️ £15.00 covers Hall Hire for one week...

☕️ And as you can imagine, resources and books are well loved and need replacing now and then. Your donations help create a safe and nurturing space for everyone 💛

Donate on the day (only if you can), or if you would prefer to pay by card or sponsor a cuppa for someone who can't afford it you can do so via the link below:

Thank you SO much! Xx

The lovely Little Pips Cuppa Club is on tomorrow at Portskewett and Sudbrook Recreation Hall from 10am - 11.30am, scroll through for details ☕️

This isn't your typical baby group - it's a relaxed space where you can simply come as you are and take what you need, whether that's a hot drink and natter, asking for support with anything from perinatal wellbeing to breastfeeding peer support, or picking up some free period products. 🥰

❗️ We are a NUT FREE GROUP due to allergies, so please be mindful of any snacks you may bring along.

And if you are coming along with friends, please could I gently remind you that some parents might be nervously attending alone - please say hello to anyone you see on their own, you may just make their day!

💛 IMPORTANT 💛

Sadly, our most recent pot of funding has now run out, and the Little Pips Cuppa Club is completely reliant on donations to be able to continue running as it has for the past 10 years. If you are in a position to donate £2.00 on the day then please do - I can accept card or you pop some cash into the wooden caravan box on the counter. This is not monitored as I would never want anyone who genuinely can't afford to pay to feel uncomfortable, but I would be so grateful for any contribution as I am sadly not in a financial position to self fund the cost of hall hire and resources.

I am looking forward to seeing you and filling your cup🥰

See you there! Xx

It was so lovely to welcome a full class of families along to Pips Baby Massage today, and the little ones were the perfect example of the early months, with some cuddling, feeding, sleeping, dipping in and out of massage, crying, pooping... honestly, anything goes in my classes! Babies are free to act just like babies, zero judgement, just compassion, solidarity, and some tips and tricks to make things a little easier 🥰

A gentle reminder to patch test your oil before using it, and do not cover babies in oil before heading out into the sun 🌞

Enjoy practising those face, legs and tummy strokes using the class video for week one - see you next week! x

I amused myself with these little jellyfish puppets 🪼😂

The Monday Pips Play Tots loved making them today, and they were the perfect activity to develop their pincer grip and creativity! Looking forward to doing it all over again with my Friday group x

Happy Monday! Piplings and Pips Play crews, I will meet you under the sea later! 🌊🪼🐙🐚

We don't have a break now until the summer break with the exception of a week of Big Summer Blow Out parties, so July classes will go live tomorrow night! 🌞

Active birth week is one of my favourite weeks to teach in Pip'nobirthing! Revisiting this image of lovely Laura last term enjoying some rebozo sifting, which is brilliant for space making, releasing tension, and encouraging baby into a more favourable position for birth - it also just feels DIVINE! (Disclaimer: rebozo is contraindicated for some, so please seek medical consent and proper instruction on how to do it safely if you haven't attended a course).

I cover active birth on week three, and it's when I start to see the mums to be start looking and sounding more confident in their ability to birth. And for those having a planned cesarean, everything is still so relevant just incase spontaneous labour begins, and also understanding foetal positioning during pregnancy.

Next week we are moving on to our medical options - knowledge is POWER, and having the ability to navigate conversations about your care means being able to explore all of your options to make informed choices for you and your baby 💪

The July and September terms are both available to book now and are suitable from 20 weeks of pregnancy. I am a fully qualified and award winning KG Hypnobirthing teaching with 13 years of experience supporting local families and building an incredible village of support through the early years - I would love to support you! x
