💪 Joint of the Month: Muscles of the Spine

The spine is supported by layers of muscles that control posture and movement.

Key muscles include:
• Erector spinae (iliocostalis, longissimus, spinalis)
• Multifidus
• Quadratus lumborum
• Latissimus dorsi
• Trapezius

These muscles stabilise the spine, assist bending and rotation, and protect against injury. Tightness or weakness can lead to back pain and reduced mobility.
