πŸ’™ A little reminder from all of us at A Class Care... πŸ’™

On 1st August, our co-owner Nicola Jones will be taking on the Alzheimer's Society Trek26 challenge in Norfolk, walking 26 miles to raise vital funds for people affected by dementia.

Every step Nicola takes represents hope for families facing one of life's most difficult journeys. Dementia affects not only those living with the condition but also the loved ones who support them every day.

If you have already donated, thank you. Your support means the world. If not, there is still time to help make a difference.

Every pound raised helps Alzheimer's Society provide support, fund research, and work towards a future where dementia no longer devastates lives.

πŸ’™ Men's Health Week πŸ’™

How often do the men in your life put everyone else first?

Whether it's a father, son, brother, husband, grandfather or friend, many men will encourage others to seek help while ignoring their own health concerns.

This Men's Health Week, let's change that.

From heart disease and diabetes to prostate cancer, mental wellbeing and other long-term conditions, taking action early can make all the difference.

βœ”οΈ Book that health check
βœ”οΈ Don't ignore changes in your health
βœ”οΈ Stay active and eat well
βœ”οΈ Talk about how you're feeling
βœ”οΈ Check in on the men you care about

At A Class Care, we believe every man deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, independent and fulfilling life.

Because looking after your health isn't just about you β€” it's about being there for the people who love you. πŸ’™

Tag a man who deserves a reminder to put his health first today.

β˜€οΈ Yellow Heat Health Alert Issued – Please Take Extra Care

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a Yellow Heat Health Alert from 3pm on Wednesday 17th June until 8pm on Monday 22nd June.

While many of us enjoy the warmer weather, high temperatures can pose serious risks for older people, those with long-term health conditions, and vulnerable members of our communities.

πŸ’§ Stay hydrated
🏠 Keep homes cool where possible
πŸ‘’ Avoid direct sun during the hottest parts of the day
❀️ Check in on elderly relatives, neighbours and friends

At A Class Care, the wellbeing of our clients is always our priority. Our care teams will be supporting clients to stay safe, comfortable and hydrated throughout the warmer weather.

A simple phone call, visit, or welfare check could make all the difference to someone vulnerable this week.

πŸ’™ This Carers Week, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to every carer making a difference every single day. πŸ’™

Caring is more than a job. It's the reassuring smile, the helping hand, the extra time spent listening, and the commitment to helping someone live independently in the place they call home.

At A Class Care, we see the incredible impact our carers have on the lives of the people they support. Whether it's providing companionship, helping someone regain confidence after a hospital stay, supporting a person living with dementia, or enabling a couple to remain together at home, our carers are at the heart of everything we do.

This week, we're celebrating the compassion, dedication, and kindness shown by carers across our communities. Thank you for the difference you makeβ€”not just during Carers Week, but every day of the year.

If you've ever considered a career where you can genuinely change lives while building meaningful relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

πŸ’™ To all carers: We appreciate you. We value you. We celebrate you.

πŸ’™ One Step at a Time for a World Without Dementia πŸ’™

On 1st August, our co-owner Nicola Jones will be taking on the Alzheimer's Society Trek26 challenge in Norfolk, walking 26 miles to help fund vital support, research, and hope for those affected by dementia.

Many of us have witnessed the impact dementia can have on individuals and families. It can gradually take away memories, independence, and precious moments with loved ones. Every day, thousands of families face this reality.

Nicola is putting on her walking boots and taking on this challenge to help ensure that no one has to face dementia alone.

We are incredibly proud of her dedication and determination to make a difference. ❀️

If you are able to, please consider supporting Nicola's fundraising efforts. Every donation, no matter how small, helps Alzheimer's Society continue their life-changing work and brings us one step closer to a world without dementia.

πŸ’™ After a lifetime together, why should couples be separated when care is needed?

For many couples, the thought of moving into care isn't just about leaving home. It's about leaving each other.

The person who has shared your morning coffee.
The person who knows exactly how you like your tea.
The person who has been by your side through life's happiest moments and toughest challenges.

At A Class Care, we believe care should support relationships, not separate them.

With live-in care for couples, both partners can continue living together in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, surrounded by treasured memories, beloved possessions and the routines that make life meaningful.

❀️ Stay together
🏑 Remain in the home you love
πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ Receive personalised support tailored to both of your needs
πŸ’· Often more cost-effective than two residential care placements
πŸ’™ Maintain independence, dignity and choice

Because when one person needs care, it shouldn't mean losing the life you've built together.

If you're beginning to explore care options for yourself or a loved one, we'd love to show you how live-in care can help couples remain together while receiving the support they need.

πŸ’” It often starts with the little things...

A missed tablet here.
A small fall there.
A family member quietly taking on more and more responsibility.

Many families tell us they wish they had reached out sooner.

When someone you love begins to struggle at home, it's not always obvious. What starts as occasional forgetfulness or needing a little extra help can quickly become a source of worry, stress, and exhaustion for everyone involved.

The good news is that support doesn't have to mean losing independence.

At A Class Care, we help people remain safe, comfortable and happy in the place they love most – their own home. Whether it's a few hours of support, overnight care, respite care or full-time live-in care, we're here to help you find the right solution.

You don't have to wait for a crisis before asking for help.

❀️ When care is needed, staying together can make all the difference.

For many couples, live-in care offers a more comfortable and personal alternative to moving into residential care β€” allowing you to remain in the home you love, surrounded by familiar routines, memories and each other.

At A Class Care, our live-in carers provide tailored one-to-one support designed around both of your needs, helping couples continue living safely, independently and happily at home. 🏑
