"I cannot thank the team at Distinct Cremations enough for the beautiful service and support they provided after the recent passing of my mother. I was incredibly emotional and overwhelmed throughout the entire process, but the cremation team treated me with the utmost kindness, patience, and compassion.
"This was the first time I have ever lost anyone, and because it was my mum, I broke down crying a lot over the phone. My funeral director, Grace, was incredibly kind and patient with me. She kept me updated constantly, calling me twice a week to guide me through the service, the music, the ceremony details, and the address. She continuously checked in on me, which was so sweet, and she even reassured me that even though the funeral is over, I can still call them anytime if I need support.
"Because I was the only person attending, I was deeply anxious and wanted the very last time slot so I could avoid seeing other people. Grace managed to secure this for me and guided me all the way. On the day, I unfortunately got lost and had to lug my suitcase and a wreath I had made myself down and up a very steep hill. I arrived panicking, sweating, and could hardly even speak with only 10 minutes to spare.
"The lady who met me at the chapel, Rhiannon, was amazing. She very kindly came from around her desk and helped take the wreath from me. She let me use the bathroom to freshen up and change, and she displayed the photo of my mum beautifully. When I walked into the chapel, the music I chose was playing, my mum's beautiful picture was there, and Rhiannon had already placed my handmade wreath on top of my mum's coffin so I didn't have to do it. It was a very heartbreaking scene, but deeply touching as well. Even though a 30-minute service was booked, Rhiannon went completely above and beyond—letting me stay for around 45 minutes, which was well past their working hours.
"The chapel grounds themselves were absolutely beautiful. It was a very sad day, but thanks to them, I was able to say my goodbyes in the right way. They took the time to guide me gently when I needed it most, making a very difficult time feel much more manageable. I am deeply grateful for their care and would highly recommend them to anyone⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐."
