🚨 CHASE TV NEWS SEARCH UPDATE | DAY 3 | HELP FIND ALEX

The search for missing Alex continues into Day 3, with search and rescue teams from across the region working tirelessly across the Cannock Chase area. Teams from Staffordshire Search & Rescue along with Teams from West Mercia, Derby, Severn Area Rescue Association & Cheshire are all involved in the search today.

Alex’s sister, Abi, has shared a heartbreaking update following yesterday’s search, after items believed to potentially be linked to Alex’s diabetic medication kit were discovered in the area.

Abi said:

“We still haven’t found Alex but we’re not giving up and we won’t until we find him. Last night we found items that are potentially from his diabetic medication kit, including lids from his needles around the area.”

Alex was last sighted at around 9.30am on Saturday morning, in the area of R***e Range Corner, Rugeley, where his car was subsequently found in the club’s car park

She added that Alex was reportedly seen at around 9.30am on Saturday morning, not far from where his car was later found.

Abi has urged people to keep sharing Alex’s details and has thanked everyone involved in the search, saying the family are “clutching at absolutely everything” and will not stop until he is found.

❤️ THE COMMUNITY IS CONTINUING TO HELP

Following yesterday’s incredible donation drive, the community has now raised enough food to support the volunteer search teams for the next few days.

The GoFundMe is now the main donation point, helping ensure the volunteer teams have the supplies and support they need to sustain their efforts while the search continues.

💷 Over £900 has now been raised towards the £1,000 target.

Every donation, no matter how small, can help!

The funds from the appeal are currently being used to supply another 30 search volunteers with food & drink as we speak.

Search teams are continuing their efforts across Cannock Chase, while the police investigation remains ongoing.

❤️ Our thoughts remain with Alex’s family, friends and loved ones.

📞 If you have any information that could help locate Alex, please contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 441 of 22nd August.

Please keep sharing. Someone may have the information that brings Alex home.

🩺 Bowel Cancer Screening Saves Lives 🩺

Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK — but when found early, it is highly treatable.

That’s why screening is so important.

✔️ The NHS bowel screening programme is offered to people aged 50–74
✔️ It can detect cancer before symptoms appear
✔️ It can also find pre-cancerous changes, helping prevent cancer altogether

The test is simple and done at home. If you receive a screening kit in the post, please don’t ignore it — completing it could save your life.

⚠️ Don’t wait for symptoms. Take part in screening when invited.

If you have symptoms such as:
• Persistent changes in bowel habits
• Blood in your stool
• Unexplained weight loss
• Ongoing abdominal pain

Please contact the practice — we’re here to help.

📩 Need more information or didn’t receive your kit? Get in touch with us today.

🧬 DNA GP Appointments = Lost Time for Patients Who Need Care

Every week, GP surgeries lose valuable appointment slots because of DNAs (Did Not Attends). When appointments are missed without cancelling, that time can be used to help someone else who may urgently need to see a doctor.

📊 Thousands of GP appointments are wasted each week across the UK due to DNAs.

If you can’t attend your appointment:
✅ Cancel as early as possible
✅ Use the NHS App or contact your GP surgery
✅ Let someone else take that slot

A quick cancellation can make a big difference to another patient waiting for care.

Let’s work together to make sure every appointment counts❤️
