The "Eisteddfod y Garreg Las" takes place from August 1st to the 8th 2026, in Llantood, North Pembrokeshire, marking the 850th anniversary of the first Eisteddfod held at Cardigan Castle in 1176.

Cynhelir "Eisteddfod y Garreg Las" rhwng y 1af a'r 8fed o Awst 2026 yn Llantood, Gogledd Sir Benfro, gan nodi 850 mlynedd ers y the Eisteddfod gyntaf a gynhaliwyd yng Nghastell Aberteifi ym 1176.

The National Eisteddfod of Wales is the largest celebration of Welsh arts, language, and culture in Europe. Held during the first week of August, it travels annually between North and South Wales, bringing together music, literature, and competitive events. The tradition dates back to 1176, when Lord Rhys hosted a grand competition for poets and musicians at Cardigan Castle.

Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru yw dathliad mwyaf celfyddydau, iaith a diwylliant Cymru yn Ewrop. Fe'i cynhelir yn ystod wythnos gyntaf mis Awst, ac mae'n teithio'n flynyddol rhwng Gogledd a De Cymru, gan ddod â cherddoriaeth, llenyddiaeth a digwyddiadau cystadleuol ynghyd.
