☀️ Solar Eclipse Safety Advice

On Wednesday 12 August, the UK will experience a spectacular partial solar eclipse, with up to 96% of the Sun covered.

But remember — even during an eclipse, looking directly at the Sun can cause permanent eye damage. 👁️

🔸 Never look directly at the Sun, even through sunglasses.
🔸 Never use binoculars, telescopes or cameras to view the eclipse directly.
🔸 If viewing directly, use CE or UKCA-marked eclipse glasses and check they are undamaged.
🔸 For a completely safe option, watch via a livestream or TV broadcast, or use a pinhole projector.

A sad day at the practice today as it’s Paul and Emma’s last day with us before a well earned retirement! 😢
Paul took over from Richard in 2008 as practice manager and Emma joined him in 2013 to lead the front of house team. Together they’ve made the practice their own, welcoming new team members, bringing in the latest tech, and pushing through tough times during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns to keep on providing outstanding care to our patients.
We will miss them a great deal but know that we can find Emma at her allotment and Paul under the bonnet of a car at any given moment 😄
