I put these together for customers recently and couldn’t love them more!

Each knit started as a blank canvas and was personalised with names and simple appliqués like a rainbow or flowers, depending on what was chosen.

It’s so lovely seeing how different they all look with the same style of design, just in different colours and on different base knits.

If you’re looking for something handmade but not the full shebang, I do still have a few base knits available on my website ready for personalisation. I can add names and simple appliqués like these, so you can make it your own.

They’re all one of a kind pieces, but still kept affordable.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

So many small handmade businesses are quietly closing. Not because they don’t care, or aren’t talented, but because the numbers just don’t add up.

When you see a price on something handmade, you’re not just paying for materials. You’re paying for time, skill, experience… and usually someone working in every spare moment they have.

I think people do value handmade, but not always enough to sustain the people making it.

And that’s the really sad part.

To everyone who has ever supported my little business, ordered, shared, liked, or even just followed along, thank you. It genuinely means more than you probably realise 🤍

And to other makers feeling this… you’re definitely not the only one.

I’d really love to know—have you noticed this too?

Quite a few of you have been looking at the new cardigans I added recently, so I thought I’d share a bit more about the pricing.

Some of these cost me £35 before I’ve even added anything. Others are around £20, but then I add handmade crochet collars and hand-embroidered names.

The embroidery alone takes around 1–2 hours, and with things like the crochet collar, each cardigan takes around 4–5 hours to finish.

There’s also yarn, packaging, website fees, and I’ve started making a conscious effort to pay my knitters more than they ask, because their time and skill deserve to be valued properly.

So when they’re priced at £55–£60, there really isn’t much left over.

I’m not sharing this to justify it, just to give a bit of context.

All of these are currently available, and the price includes a name. I can also add little extras like flowers, a rainbow or a sun if you’d like 🤍

Back in March I got an email from Vogue.

I thought it might be spam at first, so I checked if it was real before anything else.

When I realised it actually was, I was in complete shock… and very excited.

It felt surreal that something I’d made had even been noticed like that.

In the end I decided not to go ahead, as it wasn’t something I could justify for my business at this stage.

But it’s stayed with me a bit since.

Because it reminded me that this little handmade business of mine is being seen 🤍

Okay so I said I’d be dropping 4 discounted knits a week… and then life absolutely ran away with me 🙃

But here are the last 4 that went out 💖
These were snapped up from my stories and then personalised afterwards.

This set included two with names and a scatter of flowers, one with just a rainbow and one with a name and a heart ❤️

I’ll be popping another 4 onto my stories over the next few days. You choose your knit and then let me know how you’d like it personalised. First come, first serve.

And yes, I know… knitwear in a heatwave. But tell me you’re not already thinking about cosy season 🧶

Today was all about celebrating my nephew!

I made him a little Bluey-inspired birthday shirt (swipe to see 👀) and a matching one for my daughter too.

“For real life?!”
“I don’t want a valuable lime lesson”

They were both so excited to wear them and be matching 🥹

There’s something so special about telling a story on a cardigan🧵🍯

This piece is completely handmade in 100% merino wool, from the knitting itself to the embroideries and crochet appliqués.

I wanted the entire cardigan to feel like a scene from the Hundred Acre Wood, so it wraps all the way around - the log flowing from back to front, a little river running into the hem, and all your favourite characters tucked into their own moments.

The log was knitted in as part of the cardigan, then shaped using duplicate stitch, with crochet appliqué roots added for texture 🌿

Finished with contrasting cuffs, ribbing, collar and little “hunny” buttons… (made by the amazing ) it’s truly a labour of love that took a couple of weeks to bring to life.

This is the kind of piece I make when I just want to pour everything into something special 🤍

Social media feels like a really strange place lately…

So many of you tell me you love these knits, and I genuinely believe you. They just don’t always seem to find homes.
