Carers and support workers do incredibly important work every day, often putting the needs of others before their own. But without proper self-care, the risk of stress and burnout can quickly increase.
Self-care isn’t a luxury it’s a necessity. Taking time to rest, setting boundaries, staying hydrated, talking things through, and recognising early signs of stress all play a vital role in maintaining wellbeing.
When carers are supported to look after themselves, they’re better able to continue providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to others.
At 1 Stop Healthcare, we understand that caring for others starts with caring for yourself. 💙
