🐾🎶 A wonderful afternoon of wagging tails and beautiful music at Priesty Fields! 🎶🐾
There were plenty of smiles today as we welcomed the lovely Sasha the Therapy Dog, who made her way around the home bringing comfort, cuddles, and lots of happy moments to our residents. 🐶💙

We were also treated to a fantastic performance from the talented Dionne , whose beautiful singing had everyone listening, smiling, and reminiscing. Music has such a wonderful way of bringing people together, and today was no exception. 🎤🎵

A big thank you to both Sasha and Dion for making today so special. We always love welcoming visitors who help brighten our residents' days. 💛

Another lovely morning with the residents Priesty Fields Nursing Home.
You can find me there every 2 weeks on a Wednesday treating those that want a massage.
I go to them on a voluntary basis, giving back to my late mums extended family. 💕
They can choose between head massage, leg and foot massage or hand massage.
Physical touch is so important both mentally and emotionally, that feel good factor is massively beneficial. Everyone has really enjoyed their treatment again today. 💆‍♀️

💆‍♀️✨ Pamper Day Perfection at Priesty Fields! ✨💅

Who says you need to leave home for a luxury spa experience? Today, the spa came to us! 💖

Our residents enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing day of hand massages, manicures, hairstyling, and a little bit of well-deserved pampering. From fresh new hairstyles to beautifully polished nails (and plenty of smiles in between!), it was a day filled with laughter, relaxation, and feeling fabulous. 💇‍♀️💅🌸

A huge thank you to our lovely new hairstylists Renee and Jo as well as the wonderful Massage, Skincare & Selfcare for helping us create such a special experience (and our very own nail queen Sarah!). It was lovely to see our residents feeling so relaxed, refreshed, and thoroughly spoiled! 🥰

Because everyone deserves to feel special... and today was all about self-care, confidence, and a little bit of sparkle! ✨💕

Mission accomplished... eventually! 💙🐟

Today, our lovely resident Ray joined our CRM, Amber, and Activities Lead, Jess, on a very important mission—to deliver the money raised at our Driving Down Memory Lane charity event to Dementia UK. 💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to donate £611 to support families affected by dementia. We couldn't be more grateful to everyone who came along, donated and helped make the day such a success.

Competitive residents and staff? Oh yes... definitely! 😂

There may have been a few sneaky ambushes, plenty of laughter, and one or two people who got far wetter than they were expecting! 🤭💙

At Priesty Fields, we know that you're never too old to have a little fun, cool off in the sunshine, and make memories that leave everyone smiling.

Now the only question is... who won? We're not naming names, but we think everyone came out as champions! 🏆💦🤣

🌟 Friday Face at Priesty Fields 🌟

This week we're introducing the wonderful **Jess**, our Activities Lead Coordinator! 🎨🎤🎲💜

Many of our residents and families will already know Jess from her previous role as a Team Leader, but she has recently taken on an exciting new challenge as our Activities Lead Coordinator – and we couldn't think of a better person for the job! 😊

Jess joined this role because she wanted to bring even more life, fun and happiness to our residents, creating meaningful moments and experiences that make every day special. ✨

With medication training, care training and her Level 3 NVQ currently underway, Jess brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as a Senior Carer, along with a huge heart and endless enthusiasm. ❤️

When asked what qualities are needed for her role, Jess said patience, kindness, being approachable, caring and bubbly – and anyone who knows her will tell you she has all of those in abundance! 🌟

Her favourite part of the day is spending quality time with residents, seeing them smile and knowing she's helped brighten their day. Whether it's a game, an outing, a singalong or simply a chat, Jess always finds a way to make people feel included and valued. 😊🎵

Outside of work, Jess loves spending time with her two daughters, making memories and enjoying precious family moments together. 👩‍👧‍👧💕

One of the most touching moments in Jess's career was having the privilege of helping prepare a resident for their final journey, ensuring they looked beautiful in their favourite dress and sandals. It was a moment of dignity, compassion and care that has stayed with her ever since. 💜

What makes Jess most proud is seeing residents happy, engaged and enjoying life. For her, the most important part of the role is simple:

🍦🎤☀️ Ice Creams, Sunshine & Karaoke... What Could Possibly Go Wrong?! ☀️🎤🍦

We made the most of the beautiful weather today at Priesty Fields with three of life's greatest pleasures... sunshine, ice cream, and karaoke! 😍
Residents enjoyed cooling down with delicious ice creams in the garden, soaking up the sunshine and spending quality time with friends and loved ones. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and even a few requests for seconds! 🍦😋

Of course, no summer afternoon would be complete without a spot of karaoke! From classic favourites to unexpected chart-toppers, our residents and team sang their hearts out. 🎶🎤

A special apology goes out to our lovely neighbours... if your dogs were mysteriously howling this afternoon, there's a fair chance it was Amber's singing and not the local sirens! 🤣🐶🎵

Thankfully, the residents were much more supportive than the neighbourhood wildlife and gave some very generous applause! ❤️

Days like these remind us that sometimes the simplest things bring the biggest smiles. 🌞🍦💙
