As a PMU artist, mapping is one of the most important stages of every treatment. It’s where I carefully assess the client’s natural features to create a shape that enhances their face, rather than simply following a trend.

🔍 What am I looking for when mapping brows?

📍 Brow start – positioning the front of the brow to complement the client’s natural anatomy.

📐 Arch placement – finding the most flattering position to lift and frame the eye.

✍️ Tail position – creating a balanced, elegant finish without making the brow look too long or too heavy.

⚖️ Symmetry and balance – checking both sides carefully, while remembering that no face is perfectly symmetrical!

📏 Brow height and thickness – working with the client’s natural bone structure, existing hair growth and facial proportions.

〰️ Natural flow – ensuring the final shape looks harmonious with the client’s features, not drawn on or forced.

Even when looking at a side view, mapping helps me assess positioning, angles and how the proposed shape sits within the client’s natural brow structure.
