Job done 👍

Today our group completed this year’s adventure
Snowdonia slate trail 🏔️

Completing 93 miles over what can be described as arduous, testing but breathtaking terrain.

4400m of climbing later we ended up back where we started after completing the slate trail in just 4 days.

After lots of hours of training the team had put in, that beer at the end felt great.

Lots of people over coming struggles
Challenges
Emotions
And sore feet

But getting through it.

It’s a great reminder that to grow

We must be out of comfort zone
And also be around others wanting the same

Did you know...

While nothing beats clean drinking water, you can support your hydration in other ways?
Simply put, this is how hydration works...

Your body needs fluid + electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium) to stay hydrated.
Fluids help keep your cells working.
Electrolytes help your body hold onto that fluid and use it properly.

You can get both from foods and drinks, not just a plain glass of water.

Hydrating Foods & Drinks. These contain a high water content and can top up your fluids:
Cucumber (96% water) 🥒
Watermelon (92%) 🍉
Oranges, grapes, strawberries 🍇🍊
Celery, lettuce, courgette
Milk (also contains electrolytes)
Boosting Electrolytes...
If you do have some water, try this:
Oral rehydration salts
Sports drinks (check sugar content if needed)
A pinch of salt + a little sugar in water
Coconut water

Extra Tips
✅ Spread fluid intake through the day, not all at once.
✅ Limit caffeine and alcohol — they can increase water loss.
✅ Eat juicy fruits and veg with meals and snacks.

At this time of year, what we put inside our bodies is more important than ever.

Seasonal allergies, flare ups and joint pain can impact a lot of people during the warmer months (when they arrive)

One thing we know helps our clients who suffer with any of the above, is histamines.

And we don't mean taking anti histamines.

We mean removing them from our foods or being more aware of how much we consume. Because it would be backwards to take anti histamines, and then eat loads of histamine rich food, right?

But do you know where they come from?

Here is a short list we recommends looking to cut back on and lower, over the next few weeks to see an improvement in allergies, flare ups, skin issues and digestion.

Processed & cured meats Bacon/salami
Alcohol
Vinegar
Fermented foods - Think Sauerkraut
Tomatoes
Spinach
Avocado
Shellfish
Chocolate (soz)

These alone may just give you great relief!

Some Sunday afternoon thoughts as the 'TAKE ACTION' Week, for Mental health awareness week, ends...

If you want some change and to see results, then read on...

We don’t need more information.
Often we just need to stop avoiding it.

We know what’s not going well.

The lack of energy.
The frustration.
The stress.
The overthinking.
The “I’ll start Monday” cycle that’s been going on for months… maybe years.

And instead of changing it, people look for comfort.

A new influencer to follow.
Another podcast.
A perfect plan.
The perfect time.
Motivation first

But nothing changes until the discomfort of staying the same becomes greater than the discomfort of taking action.

We know this

And eventually you have to answer the question:

“How much longer am I willing to tolerate this?”

You do not need to have it all figured out.
You just need to start. To take an action.

One session.
One better meal.
One honest conversation with yourself or even a coach
An earlier alarm.
Message someone
We could go on...

Action creates momentum.
Momentum creates Results.

But none of it happens whilst we keep negotiating with the reasons not to.

A busy Friday night and Saturday morning

Last nights BIG workout 😰
Followed by food and drink in gulshanrestaurant 🍸

Today, it was go go go

An early morning stroll to kick things off 🌳
Whilst we had some outdoor yoga with Gemma🧘
We Took a group to wepreparkrun 🏃‍♂️
And also had men’s and then women’s workouts on 💪🏻👊🏻

It’s also been a day of people taking action👌

⭐️ A client tackling the Yorkshire 3 peaks this morning

⭐️ People doing their first 5km

⭐️ A client taking part in a Dekka event

⭐️ And people coming on board for our 30 day challenge

As we end a week, and begin a new month.

We also enter a new chapter, heading into our 12th year in business! 🥳

This year has been full on, with many changes, challenges and exciting opportunities.
Each year does, and its the same with any health or fitness journey.

And the 12th year will be exactly the same as we gear up for a new 6 week project starting soon - Our adventure at the end of May - And also... in the planning stages for our biggest and boldest group adventure yet in 26/27 👀

After all, we are here to give people the results and experiences they are capable of

As always, we are so thankful & grateful for our team, our extended team and our wonderful clients.

And even those who just support us or 'like our posts' 🙏

Now, we are looking forward to seeing what year 12 will bring us and having a celebration next weekend!

People took part in their first park run ✔️
A charity walk was completed ✔️
And after 8 weeks of hard work, Nadia took our hybrid X team went to take on their event, and did amazing 🤩 ✔️
