Rosemount Rosemount a loving home from home for over 40 years. In June 1983 Rosemount was opened as a charity.

After many years of business in Consett, Laurie and Joyce Barnett had a vision to give something back to the local community. After visiting an elderly Aunt who had lost her son at 19 years in the war and later her husband, they decided there was a need for a Christian home in Consett. With the help of many Christian friends Rosemount began to flourish. Today the same pride and attention to care is provided by the staff.

NATIONAL CHEESESBURGER DAY AT ROSEMOUNT DINER!🎶🍔🍟
Today, Rosemount diner was open for business!💥
Our residents got to build their very own burgers at our burger station choosing all their favourite toppings- lettuce,🥗tomatoes,🍅onions,🧅 pickles,🥒bacon,🥓and plenty delicious sauces!
Of course no diner meal would be complete without a side of fries and coleslaw...
And then it was time for a good old fashioned milk shake to finish things off🥤🍟
The atmosphere was set with some classic 50s and 60s diner music, with the likes of Elvis and Buddy Holly playing in the back ground.🎶🎸 and the best part Our delicious diner feast was served up by our very own staff members dressed as a GIANT BURGER AND FRIES!🤣🍔🍟
Safe to say, there were plenty of full tummies and happy faces!

We had Ron in singing for the first time at Rosemount, what a fantastic time we had!❤️
With loads of songs spanning the eras,a little bit of country thrown in for good measure,Ron had everyone joining in. There was something for everyone!🎤🎵
There was plenty of singing along, tapping of feet and even a few people up dancing!🕺💃
A huge thank you to Ron for coming along and entertaining us. 👏💙

Today's activity was all about jigsaw puzzles!
There was plenty of concentration, searching for those little pieces and then trying to get the pesky pieces to fit!

Edward took on a New York 🗽 puzzle while
Marian went for a London scene 🇬🇧 Two very
different cities, but both proved to be quite the challenge!

A lovely, relaxing activity that got everyone thinking, chatting and piecing things together one bit at a time. 💙

Edward successfully completed his but Marian, on the other hand, is still battling away with hers …..and we’ve discovered she has an extra 401 pieces to contend with! 😲😂
So, I think we might have to check in on Marian again and see how she’s getting on! 🧩👀 Watch this space! 💙

Manager Kerry with Nicola and Sarah popped over to Glenroyd House Community Pantry to drop off our National Food Bank Day collection ready for tomorrow — and we honestly couldn’t believe how much we had collected! 🥫🍝🛍️

The bags were heaving… and VERY heavy! 😂💪

A massive thank you to all our staff, families and friends who donated. Every tin, packet and item will help make a difference to people in our local community. ❤️

We’re so proud of everyone who got involved. Together, we really can support our community. 🥰👏

Tea, coffee & cake for just £3, plus lots of stalls, a tombola and Mac Francis singing live at 2pm! 🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who has already brought in donations for our food drive! 🥫💛 Your generosity really is making a difference.

For National Food Bank Day on 4th September, we’re proud to be supporting Glenroyd House Community Pantry and helping those in our local community who need a little extra support.

There’s still time to get involved! If you’re able to donate any non-perishable food items, please bring them along to Rosemount.

Let’s come together, fill those collection boxes and show just how much our community cares. 🫶
