New to Loss 2 Lace? Let me introduce myself
 đŸ«¶đŸ»

I’m Sam, the founder of Loss 2 Lace and, more importantly, someone who has lived with hair loss for over 20 years.

Loss 2 Lace was created to make that journey feel a little less daunting.

I offer beginner-friendly, premium human hair wigs alongside honest wig education, supportive consultations and ongoing aftercare. My wigs are designed to look realistic, feel comfortable and be worn gluelessly, with a large range of colours, lengths, cap sizes and made-to-order options available.

A human hair wig consultation at Loss 2 Lace starts with a drink and a chat.

We talk about what you’ve been through, what you’re struggling with, what you’re looking for and what kind of support you need because that is how I guide your consultation.

When you’re ready, I’ll take your measurements but these are just a guideline and true fit starts by actually trying pieces on.

You can try as many lengths and colours as you like. And as I am preparing my human hair topper launch, if you are unsure which is right for you, I have a few toppers you can also try. The more the merrier!

As we go, I’ll talk you through construction, how they’re worn and what might work best for you.

There’s no rush and absolutely no pressure to buy. My goal is for you to leave feeling more confident, not more overwhelmed.

If you’ve booked a longer, in-depth consultation, we can go deeper.

We can talk more about aftercare and the realities of wig wearing and caring for a human hair wig. We can explore how you might style your wig to make it feel more like you, and even try a few things out together.

And if you’d like, we can also talk about the emotional side too. Because sometimes having someone who genuinely listens and understands the hair loss journey means more than you realise.

If you fall in love with a ready-to-ship wig, you can take her home and I’ll cut the wig lace for you. Or we can create something made-to-order, just for you.

And if you’re not ready yet?

That’s okay too.

You don’t need all the answers.
You don’t need to feel confident.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want.

Because a wig consultation isn’t something you come to once you’ve figured everything out

It’s part of the process of figuring it out.

The most important thing is simply taking that first step.

And that doesn’t necessarily have to mean walking through my door. It might be booking an online consultation instead, or even just reaching out to me in my inbox.

Sometimes, waiting until you feel completely ready just keeps you stuck for longer.

Just know that my consultations are a safe place to start, whether you’re ready
 or just curious.

Everyone has a best side, right?

And apparently that applies to curling human hair wigs too

One side?

Beautiful curls behaving exactly as they should.

The other side? Absolutely not. 😂

So next time you see a video of me curling a wig, you might notice I’m ALWAYS working on the same side

And now you know exactly why

I make sure there’s no video evidence of what happens on the other side. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one?! 👀

No wigs were harmed in the making of this Reel.

Featuring Tracy, Chloe & Macie - exclusively from their good side. Which one is your favourite?

Trying to navigate it all online alone.
No consultations. No support.

I spent so much time overwhelmed

Googling.
Being drawn in my big brands and marketing hype.
Second guessing myself.
Wondering if wigs would even work for me.

And honestly?
I think that’s why I care so much about consultations now.

Because a consultation with me isn’t just about trying on wigs

It’s about being understood.

It starts simply.
With a drink, and a chat.

We talk about your journey
what you’ve been through, what you’re struggling with, what you’re looking for.
And just as importantly - what kind of support you need.

Because no two women walk in feeling the same.
And how I guide your session will always reflect that.

When you’re ready, we move to the chair.

I’ll take your measurements, and then we start trying.
Different sizes, colours, lengths
 the more the merrier.

As we go, I’ll talk you through everything -
how wigs are made, how they’re worn, what to expect, what works for you.

You can ask anything.
There are no silly questions here.

There’s no rush.
No pressure to buy.

I actually encourage you to take photos, videos, bring somebody for moral support
even try putting the wigs on yourself, so you leave feeling more confident, not more overwhelmed.

If you’ve booked a longer consultation, we can go even deeper. We can practice changing your parting, talk through aftercare and real-world wig life

and if you’d like, we can even wash a wig together so you feel more prepared at home.

If you fall in love with a stock piece, you can take her home the very same day and I’ll cut the lace for you.
Or we can create something made-to-order, just for you.

And if you’re not ready yet?
That’s okay too.

Sometimes the bravest thing is just taking the first step.

My consultations are a safe place to start -
whether you’re ready
 or just curious. đŸ«¶đŸ»

Meet Jasmine

A rich cinnamon copper brunette blending warm chestnut brown with soft copper tones and subtle lighter dimension throughout. Warm, glossy and beautifully multi-dimensional without appearing overly red.

Named after the lovely Jasmine, who has been a much-loved part of Little Learners for around 7 years. Jasmine works tirelessly and with so much passion, and has always been an absolute staple in our 2-year-old room. And now, in her role as Room Lead, she continues to be the calm, caring and dependable person that both the children and the team rely on. Quite simply, those two-year-olds (and the rest of us!) would be lost without her.

Jasmine is currently available in a 16” medium cap, but can also be made to order in any length or size. If you prefer a softer look around the face, she can also be customised with a slightly lighter face frame.

I’m also thinking about having some curtain bangs or even a full fringe added to this piece shortly

What do we think - curtain bangs, full fringe or leave her as she is? đŸ€ŽđŸ§Ą

Maybe this is your sign to just try the wig.

You don’t have to know what you’re looking for.
You don’t have to know anything about wigs.
And you definitely don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

At Loss 2 Lace, I offer human hair wig consultations where you can ask questions, try different colours, lengths, styles and even hair toppers too, learn about fit and cap construction and simply see how wearing a wig actually feels.

There’s no pressure to buy but if you do fall in love with one, I stock a range of human hair wigs and hair toppers and can also have pieces made to order.

Sometimes the hardest part is just allowing yourself to try one.

And you never know
the thing you’ve been talking yourself out of might just be the thing that helps you start enjoying your hair again.

Or maybe even changes your life a little.

One question I’m asked most often is “How long should a human hair wig last?”

And it’s a really important question especially when you’re investing a significant amount of money.

The slightly frustrating answer is
 it depends.

How often you wear it, how you wash and care for it, how much heat you use, the colour and level of processing, the cap construction and even how you style and handle it can all affect its lifespan.

But there’s something else we need to talk about when we talk about how long a human hair wig should last

Repairs and maintenance.

All wigs will gradually shed. That is completely normal.

Over time, your wig may need some hair added back in. Lace can need repairing. Other parts of the cap may need some TLC too.

That doesn’t necessarily mean your wig has reached the end of its life.

Maintaining and repairing it can help extend how long you’re able to enjoy it.

But normal shedding over time and excessive shedding are two different things.

My human hair wigs come with a 12-month excess shedding warranty when the correct aftercare has been followed.

There are, of course, terms to that warranty and one important exclusion is bleached knots.

And there’s a reason for that.

The tiny knots securing the hair into the lace are already delicate. Bleaching them involves chemically processing the hair at arguably its most vulnerable point, which can weaken it further and increase the risk of breakage and shedding.

It’s one of the reasons I prefer to leave my knots unbleached and instead look at other ways of creating a natural-looking hairline.

For me, longevity matters.

Of course I want your wig to look beautiful when you first put it on. But I also care about how it performs after 6, 9, 12 months and beyond.

I can’t tell you exactly how long your human hair wig will last. Nobody can, because there are simply too many variables.

But I CAN tell you what support you have if something isn’t right.

So when you buy your next human hair wig, add this to your questions:

“If my wig starts excessively shedding, am I covered and for how long?”

It’s worth knowing the answer BEFORE you invest. đŸ«¶đŸ»

This beautiful 16” Fully Hand-Tied Carly went home today 😍

And while we were talking through the aftercare of a human hair wig, there was one little piece of wig washing advice I particularly wanted to highlight.

Dry the inside of your wig - even though I recommend allowing the hair itself to air-dry.

It might sound contradictory, but there’s a really important reason why

And it’s actually advice I give to ALL human hair wig wearers, but it’s especially important with a fully hand-tied wig like this one.

When you wash your wig, the knots holding those individual hairs become wet too. Leaving the cap and knots sitting damp for prolonged periods can cause them to swell and, over time, loosen and contribute to shedding.

So once you’ve washed your wig, gently blow-dry the inside of the cap on a cool/low setting.

It’s such a simple part of human hair wig aftercare, but one that isn’t talked about nearly enough and when you’ve invested in a beautiful wig, those little habits can make a difference to its longevity. ❀

Save this for your next wig wash.

And can we also take a moment for Carly?! 😍 There’s a reason she’s a Loss 2 Lace bestseller.

This particular Carly was made with a custom fully hand-tied cap, created specifically to her new owner’s individual measurements for a more personalised fit. ❀
