Hey, I’m Sam…

For over 20 years, I’ve lived with androgenic alopecia - gradual hair thinning that eventually left me with significant bald patches and extremely fine, fragile hair.

I tried everything.
Lotions, potions, medications, supplements, PRP, AMT… even a hair transplant.

Nothing worked.
And each thing just left me with more stress, more disappointment and more emotional exhaustion. The cycle of false hope and despair became too much.

Extensions didn’t work for me either.
And mesh integration only weakened the little hair I had left.

But then I found wigs… and everything changed for me.

Not false hope ~ real freedom.
Not hiding ~ confidence.
Not shame ~ femininity and choice.

And honestly?
Even if I woke up tomorrow with a full head of hair… I’d still wear them.

Because now it’s not just about hair.
It’s about versatility, ease, comfort… and choosing how I want to show up in the world.

I created Loss 2 Lace to support anyone walking their own hair journey. Because more than 1 in 3 women will experience hair loss at some point - so please don’t feel alone in this.

Whether you’re dealing with thinning, patchy loss, complete loss… or you simply want more freedom and choice…

This isn’t just a wig brand.
It’s a safe space and you’re so welcome here! šŸ«¶šŸ»

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Because it’s not just hair…
it’s choosing how you want to show up in the world.

Meet Ruth

A bright platinum blonde beautifully rooted with a soft mushroom blonde shade for added depth, dimension and a more natural, lived-in finish.

Ruth is named after my mum, who chose this wig when she came to visit me at Loss 2 Lace last month.

As many of you know, I usually name my wigs after my team at Little Learners… but this one still feels very fitting.

What many people don’t know is that around 20 years ago, my mum was also my business partner. Starting a nursery had always been my dream and, when my grandma sadly passed away, my mum used part of her inheritance to help me make that dream a reality. Together, we created Little Learners.

Whilst I focused on the childcare, education, recruitment and day-to-day operations, Mum worked tirelessly behind the scenes on the business side of things. Little Learners simply wouldn’t be what it is today without her.

She retired several years ago, but it feels only right that she has a wig named after her too! šŸ«¶šŸ»

Ruth is currently available in our Signature Collection bob, shown in the photos, in a small cap. She is also currently in production as a luxury 18ā€ headband wig in a medium cap.

Is Ruth your vibe? What do you think?

ā€œWait… that’s silk?! šŸ‘€ā€

Everything you think you know about silk tops is probably based on older constructions.

Most people in the wig and topper world hear silk top and immediately picture:

• Thick
• Bulky
• Hot
• Obvious
• Old-fashioned construction
• Harsh transition lines

And honestly? Historically, that’s often been true.

Many traditional silk tops hide the knots and return hairs by sandwiching the hair between layers of material. The result is a thicker construction that can often feel less breathable.

The reality is that not all silk tops are created equal.

This silk topper is different.

It still creates that beautiful scalp effect, with the knots hidden beneath the silk layer, but the hair is ventilated in a way that’s much closer to lace construction. That means you still get return hairs and a far thinner, more breathable result.

In fact, when I measured it against one of my lace tops, there was only 0.18mm difference in thickness. That’s minuscule!

That’s why so many of you guessed lace in my recent poll and were just as shocked as I was to discover this silk construction.

So whilst lace and silk both have their pros and cons, I thought this was a really interesting example of how much silk-top construction has evolved.

And I can’t help but wonder how many lace-top fans might be converted… šŸ‘€

More topper content coming soon as I continue to research, test and build my experience ahead of an official Loss 2 Lace topper launch coming soon šŸ«¶šŸ»

Be honest… are you team lace, or could a silk top like this tempt you over to the dark side? šŸ¤”

Meet Leigh ✨

Leigh is a warm, rich brunette with subtle dark amber undertones, beautifully enhanced with rich auburn face framing highlights for a warm, dimensional finish.

For a softer, more uniform look, Leigh can also be made-to-order without the face-framing highlights.

She is, of course, named after another wonderful lady at Little Learners, Casey-Leigh. As I already have another Casey in the team, I decided to name this piece Leigh.

Casey-Leigh recently celebrated an incredible 10 years with Little Learners and is a truly beautiful practitioner. She brings so much passion to her role and particularly shines in our baby room, where she leads with warmth, dedication and exceptional attention to detail.

Leigh is currently available in 16ā€ in a medium cap. But as always she can be made to order in any length and size.

What do you think?

Meet Casey ✨

Named after one of two Caseys who work at Little Learners (don’t worry, there’s a very simple way for me to tell them apart… which you’ll soon discover šŸ˜‰).

At Little Learners, Casey is one of our talented Artists, helping children explore, create and think in new and imaginative ways. She has been with us for around seven years, and the work she does with the children is truly incredible.

Casey is a soft dark blonde blended with beige, honey and golden tones, finished with light creamy beige face-framing highlights that create a beautiful, radiant glow around the face.

She is currently available in a 14ā€ bob, small cap, modelled beautifully by Becky at .uk, and as always, she can be made to order in your perfect length and size.

What do we think of Casey?

Or at the very least… you feel like it does!

There is just something about good hair that changes your entire energy.

Not because wigs ā€œfixā€ everything.
Not because confidence only comes from appearance.
But because when you feel more comfortable, more like yourself, more confident looking in the mirror… it spills into everything else too.

Your state of mind changes.
Your mood changes.
Your ability to enjoy every moment grows.
Your camera roll suddenly fills with selfies šŸ‘€

But more importantly…
You stop thinking about your hair quite so much.
You have more peace.
More freedom.
More room to simply enjoy life.

Also… ā€œstill falling for youā€ felt rather fitting…

I’ve worn this colour, Sam, almost every day for 10 months and apparently I’m still not over it!

Anyway… welcome back to Friday Film Time šŸŽ¬

Meet Jamie 🧔

Named after a fun, bubbly and kind member of the Little Learners team, Jamie is known for her adventurous, creative and imaginative ideas, as well as the lovely staff appreciation and motivation initiatives she brings to the workplace. Jamie has been part of the Little Learners family for around 3.5 years.

Jamie is a bright, natural-looking golden copper shade, blending fiery copper tones with soft golden-brown undertones for a radiant, glowing finish that feels both striking and sophisticated.

She is currently in stock in 18ā€ with a small cap, but as always, she can be made to order in your perfect length and size.

What do we think to this fiery red? šŸ”„

Because comfort, security and realism are about so much more than the hair itself. (And we already know that L2L hair is pretty damn good šŸ˜‰)

Every Loss 2 Lace piece is designed with glueless wear in mind and includes:

✨ Velvet-lined seams and nape for comfort
✨ A silicone strip on the ear tabs for added security
✨ Adjustable straps and a nape comb for a secure fit
✨ A diamond net liner beneath the lace for comfort and protection. Prefer silk? Made-to-order pieces can be customised with a silk liner instead.

I’m also currently trialling a new design that combines velvet beneath the silicone strip on the ear tabs, bringing together the comfort of velvet with the added security of silicone.

And that lace…

You remember what I’ve told you before about ā€œHD laceā€ being one of the most mis-marketed terms in the wig industry, right? šŸ‘€

I use fine Transparent Swiss Lace, which is beautifully natural, incredibly realistic and durable enough for everyday wear.

Part way through this video I switch to one of my fully hand tied pieces so you can see the difference. Notice the thinner nape area and the hidden adjustable straps, which sit beneath the hand tied mesh rather than being exposed like they are on a traditional wefted cap.

These fully hand tied pieces are made at around 110% density, making them feel incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Often what you don’t see inside a wig often makes the biggest difference to how it feels on your head! šŸ«¶šŸ»

Which cap construction would you choose: wefted or fully hand tied?

02/06/2026

You don’t need all the answers.
You don’t need to feel confident.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want.

In fact… most women don’t.

A lot of the women who sit in my chair arrive feeling unsure.
A little overwhelmed.
Sometimes emotional.
Sometimes not even able to fully explain what they need.

And that’s okay.

Because a consultation isn’t something you come to once you’ve figured everything out…
It’s part of the process of figuring it out.

It’s a space where you can ask questions.
Talk things through.
Understand your options.
And just take things at your own pace.

There’s no expectation.
No pressure to buy.
No ā€œright timeā€ you’re supposed to wait for.

Sometimes, waiting until you feel ready just keeps you stuck for longer.

And sometimes…
taking that small step before you feel ready is the thing that helps everything start to feel a little clearer.

And if that feels like too much right now that’s okay too.

Sometimes starting with an online consultation can feel like a gentler first step…
a way to talk things through and ease into it before doing anything in person.

You’re allowed to take this at your own pace.

But you don’t have to wait until everything feels certain to begin.

My consultations are a safe place to start exploring. šŸ«¶šŸ»
