As our Head of Care, Klara plays a huge role in helping ensure we deliver excellent care every single day. She loves supporting both our clients and colleagues, always bringing kindness, calm and compassion to the team.

✨ A few fun facts about Klara:

🍓 Favourite cocktail: Strawberry Daiquiri
🎤 Karaoke song: Perfect by Ed Sheeran (even though she says she can’t sing!)
🌿 Perfect day off: Breakfast with family followed by a long sunny walk in nature
🍜 Comfort food: Chinese or Thai food
🐭 Biggest fear: Rats!

It was great to see so many people come along to meet me today.

I was really pleased to be able to meet you all, share my story, and talk about some of the events I’m planning for this year.

A big thank you to Lucy for giving me the opportunity to be Client Ambassador for PA Services for You, it means a lot. And to my Mum, who did an amazing job helping me tell my story, and Chell for such a brilliant afternoon tea (the scones… were amazing!).

If you couldn’t make it this time, I really hope you can join me at the next one.

It was so good to see both new and familiar faces, thank you for coming.

💜 Friday Staff Spotlight – Meet Alison 💜

This week we’re shining a light on Alison, our Quality and Performance Manager and someone who brings so much heart and love to everything she does.

Alison is passionate about truly person-centred care, the kind that listens deeply, respects individuality, and makes a meaningful difference every single day. For her, it’s not just about the people we support, but our team too, seeing happy staff, happy clients and happy families is what matters most.

✨ A few things you might not know about Alison:

She’s ticked off over 120 things on her bucket list (including skydiving, bungee jumping and even shaving her head!) and she’s deeply passionate about wellbeing beyond just care plans.

🎨 Outside of work, you’ll likely find her up-cycling, creating, organising, or spending time with her family and always with a new idea or project on the go.

🎤 Karaoke? Absolutely not… (she’ll be the first to tell you 😄)

💬 Her advice for anyone considering a role in care:

“Care isn’t a task list, it’s stepping into someone’s life. Listen deeply, respect who they are, and remember your presence shapes their world.”

When asked how her colleagues would describe her, she said: passionate, honest… and a proud nerd.

Alison plays a key role in shaping the quality, consistency and culture of what we do, for both our team and the people we support. We wouldn't be who we are today without this wonderful lady 💜

Being a PA…

Last week, I supported one of our clients to attend a big family event.

It wasn’t just the event that mattered, it was being there in a way that worked for her.

Moments like that stay with you.

That’s what being a PA is, really.

Not just a job, but being alongside someone in the moments that matter, and shaping support around them, not expecting them to fit into it.

It’s not always easy. But it’s meaningful in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve done it.

If you’re thinking about it as a role, it’s definitely one worth considering 💜

You don’t need a traditional care background. People come into this from all sorts of roles, retail, office, hospitality, marketing. What matters most is being consistent, reliable, and genuinely committed to supporting someone in the right way.

Wow… did we have a ball today!

Welcoming our new PA Sharon to the Hub for the first time, a drop-in from our Client Ambassador Mole… not to mention our new pool champion and all the usual crew.

Turns out we don’t just have incredibly talented PAs… they’re pretty handy with a paintbrush too 🎨

Such a lovely evening at our staff Paint & Sip night, a chance to slow down, have a laugh and spend time together outside of the day-to-day.

Days like this matter.

Fresh sea air, a bit of sunshine, and time to just be — not rushed, not structured, just enjoyed.

At PA Services, these moments are just as important as everything else. Supporting someone to get out, feel the breeze, hear the waves and spend time somewhere they love is part of what good care should look like.

It’s not always about big plans.
Sometimes it’s simply about being in the right place, with the right support, at the right time.

Brighton did not disappoint 🌊☀️

Today PA Services For You 'Team Shelly' had the honour and privilidge to attend Shelly 50th birthday party, there was music, karakoe, signing, dancing and happiness, whilst Shelly bathed in the love of her family and care team.
This year also marks our 9th year aniverasary of working with Shelly and our 9th year as a service provider.
Shelly and her family symbolise everything PA Services stand for and helped form the foundation of our values.
