As promised… we’ve researched minimum carer pay at the UK’s top supported living providers and the results are in.

How comfortable do we feel about companies banking profits, whilst carers use food banks?💰

Can you say you value carers, when you don’t actually value them above the legal minimum? 🤔

12hr shifts, day and night, caring skilfully for people with highly complex needs, working weekends and bank holidays… is minimum wage fair?

Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on this…

How lovely is this! We had a mobile petting zoo visit some of the children we support and held a fun day for the children, their family and their team. I’m not sure who enjoyed meeting the animals most… but it was smiles all round! 😁
Care is about more than just keeping people safe - it’s about days filled with fun and laughter, and making memories that will last a lifetime! 😍

We’re really glad to see that Social Care is finally getting the attention we deserve! Lots of common sense, compassion and hard work is needed now to make sure our country has brilliant care that’s there for people when they need it.

We’re helping to fund the creation of a new Not-for-Profit children’s home provider. So much profiteering goes on in the children’s care sector and there are people entrusted to care for children who definitely shouldn’t be. Excited to be part of the change! 💙

Update on Homes for Kids launch! 🏡☀️ We’re just weeks away from securing our first homes and we’ve already made massive progress. With with creation of RCCs and the willingness to increase not for profit provision, we’re excited to be part of the solution. Great energy across the sector...

When I founded Cavalry back in 2018 I couldn’t have imagined what an amazing team of people we’d become! Very blessed to work alongside some of the most big-hearted, devoted, and talented people in the entire sector.
Every now and then I hear a story of the life changing care that our team deliver and it’s a pinch-me moment that we get to do this type of work. Today was one of those days! ☀️😁

The biggest sensory room in the world is coming to Lancashire (all the way from Sydney! 🦘), and I’m thrilled that Cavalry have been chosen to have exclusive access for people who need support to enjoy it. 🎉✨

Pleasure to be supporting Woodlands Hospice with their light up a life service again this year. 🎄
Hospices are priceless, but they’re shamefully poorly funded and so need to rely heavily on donations.
If you’re feeling generous this Christmas I can’t recommend supporting your local hospice highly enough… when you need them, you’ll be glad you helped!

So far Cavalry have planted 500 trees, from Madagascar, to Kenya, to Lancashire! We're also helping to fund the reintroduction of wildflower meadows and wetlands across the UK. We want the world to be a better (and a greener) place, because of Cavalry. 🌱
