After my treatment finished in February, I was left with areas on my face that were noticeably different in colour.

I’m being very good with my spf and have been making an effort to keep my face out of the full sun whenever possible.

This week I saw the tinted version of the facial spf 50 that I use and thought I’d give it a go and I can honestly say that 3 days in I love this product so much!! And as a bonus - it smells amazing too.

Apologies to my first client this morning, there was no way I was using a hairdryer in this heat 🄵 so I was rather fresh faced and au natural šŸ™ˆ normal service has been resumed!

Our brains struggle to tell the difference between reality and vivid imagination. So if we take time to imagine things working out as we want them to and how that looks and feels, our brains actively form new neural pathways.

Our thoughts begin to shift as we start to feel that it is possible to achieve this outcome.

This new positive mindset stimulates the Recticular Activating System, the part of the brain that chooses what we notice, leading us to naturally prioritise opportunities that may help us achieve our imagined goals.

Whilst our subconscious is wired to be cautious of unfamiliar thought patterns, regular visualisation removes resistance, meaning that we are less likely to self sabotage on the path to achieving our goals.

If we not only visualise our goals, but also imagine in detail all the steps along the way, our brain will shift, believing that not only is it possible, we are very capable of getting there. This in turn boosts motivation and increases likelihood of success.

You know what does more for your nervous system than an hour of spiralling?

A 10-minute walk.
Or sitting under a tree with a cuppa.
Or stepping outside and letting the air hit your face for a bit.

I know it feels like you need to think your way out of stress, but the most helpful thing you can do is stop thinking and do something small instead.

I always say that reflexology gives your body an hour to ground, rest and re-regulate and the effects go well beyond that hour.
But between sessions, when your head’s a little noisy or your chest is tight and your thoughts are all over the place, this is what I recommend…

šŸ¤ Please go outside without a podcast or a phone call and without tracking steps.

šŸ¤Allow the cold air to touch your face, listen to the crunch under your feet and enjoy the sound of the wind. Focus on anything that gets you out of your head and back into your body.

šŸ¤Trust me - it works and it’s free!

šŸ¤It is simple but on occasion, simple is all we need!

The cold and flu season is creeping in… and a few people have asked lately if reflexology can help.

Short answer: yes, but ideally before the full-on sniffling, sneezing and tissues-everywhere phase kicks in!

There are specific reflex points on the feet linked to the lungs, sinuses, trachea and lymphatic system and working on those can really help give your body a boost.

The focus isn’t to cure the cold, but to support your immune system and give your body the best chance of fighting things off BEFOREHAND.

✨ That said, and this is said with love, please don’t bring your germs to me!

I’ll always be happy to see you… but maybe not when you’re full of cold and coughing your head off!

Rest at home and we’ll find another time when you’re feeling better.

However if you’re feeling good - book in and support your body and give it the best chance to fight anything that may come our way this winter,
