🌷 That update I promised you 🌷
I know I said I’d update you all and I sat down several times a day and attempted to write it. However it’s very hard to find the words, words that sum up how I feel on what has been a very tough and complex few months. The brain fog currently is just horrific.
I am now solo parenting on a next to full time level with Aaron working away for 6 weeks out of 8. I’d love to explain why but due to ongoing investigations I cannot. Said investigations have come with a LOT of stress and trying to keep life as ordinary for the children as possible has taken a real toll on my health.
As many of you know my ME/CFS started giving me hell in May- when all this agro started. Unfortunately I am in a cycle of rolling PEM meaning that unless I keep things very low and slow I end up in another crash. To give you an idea of what a crash is, it means not having the nervy to lift my head of the pillow, a toilet trip in exhausting and requires a 3 hour nap to recover and eating sends me straight back to bed half way through a meal when I loose the energy to lift my fork to my mouth.
As you can imagine crashing is not an option when solo parenting.
Two weeks ago I had the most lovely consult with a truly lovely family and their 5 week old. He was just the scrummiest wee thing and the cuddles were like a balm to my soul. However that consult whilst it filled my cup in terms of mental energy and feel good. It drained my tank in terms of physical energy. I spent the following three days in bed, with my own little man beside me watching paw patrol and doing low energy activities that allowed me to rest.
So……. It is with the absolute heaviest of hearts that I am going to have to put a hold on consults. I am heartbroken at this decision, but my health and my children’s needs have got to come first.
Sling hire is still available but if you do fill in the hire form I urge you to back it up with a pm so i definitely get it. This is because that pesky brain fog means I’m forgetting to check the hire spreadsheet as often as I used it.
The good news is the new medication I started has really helped with the nerve pain! Which is great.
