Neurodivergent Family Support Project | Connected Carers

A new neuroaffirming parent and carer support programme is coming soon for families of neurodivergent young people.

2 programmes -
One for parents and carers of young people in primary school
One for parents and carers of young people in high school

Designed for those navigating ADHD, autism, sensory differences, emotional regulation needs and related neurodevelopmental differences.

Connected Carers is not an off-the-shelf parenting course.

Across six sessions, the content will be shaped by the parents and carers taking part, focusing on the issues that matter most to the families in the room.

Neurodivergent Family Support Project | Connected Carers is supported through the Elevate Community Mentoring & Grants Programme through the Public Health Agency (PHA).

⚠️ WEBSITE ACCESS UPDATE – BT/EE BROADBAND USERS

We are aware that some people using BT and EE home broadband are currently experiencing difficulty accessing our website:

Some users may see a browser message stating “Your connection is not private” or an SSL/certificate warning when trying to open the site.

We have tested the website across different networks and the issue appears to be affecting some BT/EE broadband connections specifically. The website continues to be accessible through other networks, including mobile data.

We have reported the issue to BT and requested escalation to their technical/network team for investigation.

💛 World Su***de Prevention Day 💛

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we stand together to remind everyone that you are not alone. 💬

This year’s theme is “Changing the Narrative on Su***de” which is encouraging us to talk more openly about su***de, challenge stigma and create spaces where people feel able to speak honestly about how they are feeling.

Sometimes, you don’t need to have the right words or all the answers. Simply asking someone how they really are, listening without judgement and letting them know you’re there can be a powerful way to start a conversation. 💚

As a community, we all have a part to play in looking out for one another. A simple check-in, a conversation or letting someone know that support is available can make a difference.

Let’s change the narrative together. Let’s make talking about su***de less difficult, break down stigma and create a community where people feel able to reach out for support. 💚

You don’t have to have the right words. Sometimes, starting the conversation is enough.
