A little reintroduction for my lovely new followers:

22 years ago I began my journey as a Mental Health Nurse, eventually working my way up to Senior Management. But behind the career, I was battling my own struggles with anxiety, OCD, bulimia and binge eating disorder.

I know what it feels like to look like you’re coping on the outside whilst silently struggling on the inside. Food became my way of numbing emotions, until I realised something had to change.

In 2018 I made the decision to invest in my own journey. Through therapy, coaching and deep inner work, I rebuilt my relationship with food, learnt self-compassion and slowly found myself again.

Since then, life has brought both heartbreak and incredible joy, including becoming a mum after 12 years of fertility struggles.

These experiences shaped the way I work today. I truly believe healing happens when we support the whole person — mind, body and subconscious — not just the symptoms. ❤️

A little update from me 🤍

I’ve made the decision not to run my June rest sessions — and honestly, it came down to one thing: life.

Between family commitments and an already full diary, something had to give — and I’d rather pause with intention than show up at anything less than my best for you.

That said, I am SO excited for what’s coming.

From September through to May, I’ll be back — monthly, consistent, and at all the usual locations. I’m also looking at adding some new venues to the mix, so watch this space. 👀

To everyone who has supported these sessions — thank you. Genuinely. Your enthusiasm and trust in this space means more than I can say, and it’s exactly what I’ll be carrying with me into the autumn.

Rest is coming. It’s just having a little rest of its own first. 😄
See you in September. 🧡

Here’s a little overview of what you can expect from the sessions

To begin, there’s a gentle conscious focus exercise — this might involve reflecting on a current goal, something you’re working toward, or simply calling to mind something you feel grateful for. There’s absolutely no need to share anything, just to be present and open — this part is simply about settling the mind and bringing it into the present moment before the deeper work begins.

The hypnosis forms the heart of the session, guiding you into a deeply relaxed state through a combination of relaxation techniques and visualisation. This is a safe, peaceful process — you’ll remain aware throughout, just in a wonderfully calm and receptive state. Many people find this the most restorative part.

Healing sounds follow, creating a gentle, soothing sonic environment — think of it as a more intimate, accessible version of a sound bath. These sounds support the nervous system in staying in that relaxed state a little longer.

Finally, the session closes with some very gentle stretching to slowly bring awareness back to the body and ease back into the room feeling grounded and refreshed.

Overall the sessions are a wonderful way to reduce stress, improve sleep, and give the mind and body a proper rest — all you needs to bring is yourself and a willingness to relax.

Please note, bookings are non-refundable but if for any reason you can not attend you are more than welcome to transfer to a friend or family member.

Who is joining me tonight in the Wellbeing Room? This week we are taking a little break from the Sustainable Mind and Body Method to welcome the wonderful Tracy, our laughter yoga facilitator. Laughter is powerful for sustainable wellbeing 💛

Laughter is often overlooked when we think about health, but it has a real biological impact on the body.

When we laugh, we release endorphins—our natural feel-good chemicals—which can boost mood, reduce stress, and even help ease physical tension. Laughter can lower cortisol levels, support immune function, improve connection with others, and give the nervous system a much-needed break from stress and seriousness.

In simple terms… laughter helps the body feel safer, lighter, and more regulated.

Yet as adults, many of us stop prioritising play, fun, and joy. Life becomes full of responsibilities, pressure, and endless to-do lists—and laughter gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list.

But joy is not frivolous.
Fun is not a waste of time.
Laughter is not something to “earn.”

It is part of wellbeing.

And what better way to explore this marble than having a laughter yoga session for our monthly meet up in Lily's. Yes, that's right, this month we are taking a brief pause from the Sustainable Mind and Body Method and welcoming the wonderful Tracy to guide us in laughing our way to a healthier mind.
