Can you find a perfectly straight line in nature? 🌿

Probably not! and that’s part of why natural spaces can feel so calming.

Our brains don’t have to work so hard processing sharp edges, rigid patterns and straight lines.

Join the ParkBathe team at Grangewood Park on Saturday 1st August at 11am for a free, gently guided forest bathing stroll 💚

You’ll slow down, notice more and leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and so chilled you can deal with almost anything.

It’s free to attend, but booking is essential. All welcome, Small Group.
🌳 Book via the link in our bio.

Hey Parkbathers 🌳

How much do you love this project? If you shouted “LOTS” Do you fancy telling the team at the Bromley Awards ?

Winning a team award will help us enormously when we come to apply for funding so if you’ve got 5 or 10 minutes spare, it doesn’t take long and this is the application form!

You could nominate us as a team or any Volunteer who has led you in one of our Bromley locations, Priory gardens, Cator, Betts or Crystal palace Park!

Deadline Aug 21st 🌳🍃🐞☀️

THANK YOU

Places are going quick for our ParkBathe @ West Norwood Cemetery this Saturday, but we still have a few free places if you feel like you need a chance to slow down and switch off this weekend.

The walk starts at 11am and will consist of a gentle 1hr stroll guided by our walk leaders, who will invite you to slow down and notice your surroundings. We would love to see you there!

To grab your free spot, just head to the link in our bio 🌿

You know how people say, “Stop and smell the coffee,” meaning take time to slow down? ☕

Well, there may be more to it than you realise.

Unlike sight or sound, smell has one of the most direct routes to the emotional brain. That’s why certain smells can instantly evoke memories, lift our mood or, in some cases, trigger stress.

Research has also shown that natural smells (like rain, woodland, flowers and freshly cut grass) can help us feel calmer and more grounded.

It’s one of the reasons we encourage fragrance-free ParkBathe sessions (no perfume or aftershave, if possible), so everyone can experience subtle smells that nature has to offer.

Next time you’re outside, take a moment to stop... and smell the park! 🍃

🌿 Slow down with us at Bett’s Park. 🌿
Weekends can quickly fill up with errands, to-do lists and endless rushing around. Why not set aside just an hour to do something different?

There’s still spaces to join us for a gentle ParkBathe walk at Bett’s Park on Saturday 11th July at 11am. Together we’ll slow our pace, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the company of others in a welcoming, supportive community.

Come along to:

🍃 Take a break from day-to-day busyness.
🌳 Rediscover your local green space.
💚 Leave feeling calmer, refreshed and reconnected.

Spaces are limited, so book your place today using the link in our bio. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Every so often, the ParkBathe team comes together for a walk of our own.

Walk leaders and ambassadors spent the evening doing exactly what we encourage others to do on our walks: slowing down, tuning into our surroundings and taking the time to really notice the nature around us.

Following our sequence of sensory activities and moments of quiet observation we shared what we saw along the way. It was a chance to remind ourselves why we do what we do.

One of the best things about ParkBathe is that it’s built by people who genuinely love spending time outdoors and sharing that experience with others. If watching this makes you think, “I’d love to be part of something like that,” we’d love to hear from you. We love to welcome new volunteer ambassadors and walk leaders to join our team of nature nerds, and we’re particularly keen to welcome people based in Harrow and Bromley for our regular strolls there.

Get in touch if you’d like to join us and make your next team day to look like this 🌿

We still have some spaces available for our lovely stroll around Grangewood this Saturday 4th of July at 11am. This will be a 1hr slow, silent, free guided mindful walk to engage the senses & de-stress.

ParkBathe uses aspects of ‘forest bathing’, forest school and mindfulness and is simply walking slowly together in a local green space whilst noticing our surroundings (no water is involved!)

We welcome all adults 18+.

If you feel like you could benefit from a break from rushing around this weekend we would love to welcome you! It’s surprising what a difference just one hour of slowing down can do...

To grab your spot head to the link in our bio - we hope to see you in the park! 🌿

Feeling inspired by the Loneliness Awareness Week campaign which took place 15-21 June (Marmalade Trust | Creators of Loneliness Awareness Week ) , we’re continuing the conversation by celebrating the power of connection.

Loneliness is something many of us experience at different points in our lives. It can leave us feeling disconnected, not only from other people, but sometimes from ourselves and the natural world around us.

At ParkBathe, we’ve seen how spending time in nature can create opportunities for connection in a gentle, unpressured way. Sometimes simply walking alongside others, listening to birdsong or noticing the changing seasons is enough to remind us that we’re part of something bigger.

If you’ve been looking for a way to slow down, meet new people or simply spend more time in nature, we’d love to welcome you to one of our ParkBathe walks.

Hello Kenton Road Recreation Ground! Do you want to spend more time outdoors and make new connections? 🌿

Join us this Thursday, 18th June at 6pm for a free guided ParkBathe walk 💚

Meet at the park entrance at Carlton Avenue.

What to expect: this is a slow, guided silent walk where you will learn simple techniques taken from “forest bathing” to get into your senses and out of your thoughts!

Here’s what one of our previous participants had to say:
“Reconnecting with nature was uplifting. The antidote to apathy, disillusion, frustration, helplessness & eco-anxiety”

If that sounds like something you could do with this week, we hope to see you there! 💚

No experience needed, all adults welcome. Forest Bathing is a Japanese health practice prescribed to improve health and well-being. no water!

🌿Giving back to your community is a wonderful thing.

But what about your wellbeing?

Volunteers regularly report 20% higher wellbeing scores than non-volunteers.

Now add nature🌿

Spending two hours a week in nature has been linked to lower stress and more life satisfaction.

That’s why many of our ParkBathe Walk Leaders and Ambassador volunteers tell us they get as much from the walks they lead for free every month in local parks, as the people attending them.🍃

Spend time outdoors. Meet lovely people. Learn something new. Build confidence. Support your community. And help more people discover the benefits of slowing down in nature.

Curious?

Come and experience a free 1 hour ParkBathe forest bathing session at Kenton Recreation Ground on 18th June at 6pm.

DM us to find out more about training up to become a Walk Leader or Ambassador for NEW monthly peer-led walks launching in Harrow. No prior experience is needed.
