Nurse Cheryl Pullen has 18 years of experience on Aesthetics and is an independent nurse prescriber. Cheryl has extensive experience in skincare, facial aging and non-surgical treatments having trained internationally by industry leading experts. Dr Harriett Cant graduated from Brighton & Sussex Medical School in 2016. For the past few years she has been working in A&E whilst developing her career in Aesthetic Medicine. She is currently studying a Masters degree in Clinical Dermatology and has a special interest in skin health. The Calla Clinic strives itself on creating only natural results that enhance your unique beauty. We will not perform any treatment that we believe will create an unnatural looking result & we respect your individual features to ensure proportion, shape & balance is taken into account. This Menopause Monday we are talking weight gain.
Why are you gaining weight during the menopause?

This happens for several reasons:
⬇️Declining oestrogen causes changes to fat storage & distribution.
⬇️Loss of muscle mass causes reduced metabolism.
⬇️Poor sleep due to menopause symptoms causes imbalance in appetite regulating hormones.

In combination, all of these changes result in weight gain, which can be difficult to manage.

We took this photo today - it's been 4 months since her treatment, and her skin is so much firmer, tighter & smoother! This was achieved from one fully ablative Co2 laser treatment. Swipe to see her healing journey ➡️🙈
