If your baby is waking every hour right now… this is for you

Each family comes to me exhausted. Their stories the same but different:
Bedtime battles
Multiple night wakings
Feeding to sleep
Early mornings creeping in

Within a short time, everything changes:
✔ Longer stretches overnight
✔ Falling asleep without feeding
✔ More predictable days

No extremes
No ignoring your baby
Just a clear, structured plan that actually makes sense

If you're in the thick of it right now, you’re not stuck
There is a way through this

Message me “SLEEP” if you want to chat through your situation

I had a message from a parent whose 6‑month‑old was waking constantly through the night, crying in their sleep and only settling when the dummy was popped back in.

If that’s you too, you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re not “creating bad habits”. You’re responding to your baby the best way you know how.

But here’s the honest bit we don’t always talk about.
There comes a point where you get to decide:
Do we keep the dummy… or is it time to make a change?

There’s no right or wrong answer.
Just the one that works for your family.

If you’re starting to feel like you’re spending half the night doing dummy runs, try taking a short pause before rushing in. Sometimes babies resettle with a little space. And if they don’t, that’s where gentle support with independent sleep can make a huge difference.

You deserve nights that feel calmer.
Your baby deserves sleep that feels easier.
And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

The cost of not working on sleep isn’t just tiredness
It’s the slow, quiet drain that touches every part of life

For adults it shows up as
- Burnout — the kind that makes even simple tasks feel heavy
- Irritability — snapping at people you love
- Brain fog — losing your words, losing your patience, losing your spark
- Health issues — hormones, weight, immunity, everything takes a hit

For parents it becomes
- Shorter fuse — guilt after every outburst
- No bandwidth — surviving the day instead of enjoying your kids
- Relationship strain — partners passing like ships in the night

For children it looks like
- Overtired meltdowns
- Night wakings that never seem to end
- Developmental impact — behaviour, learning, emotional regulation

The price of staying stuck is always higher than the price of change
Sleep is the foundation everything else stands on.

Today I was an exhibitor at the King’s Baby Shop NI Baby Shower Event, and it was lovely speaking to so many expectant and new parents from across Northern Ireland. I wanted to share the top three questions I was asked throughout the day, because if parents at the event are asking them, chances are you’re wondering the same things at home.

1. “What do I actually need for my newborn?”
Most parents feel overwhelmed by long lists. The truth is you only need a safe sleep space, feeding supplies, nappies, and a pram or sling. Everything else is optional. Keeping things simple helps you feel more confident in those early weeks.

2. “How do I get my newborn into a routine?”
In the early days it’s not about strict routines. It’s about gentle rhythms: feed, wind, nappy, a short awake window, then sleep again. When you follow your baby’s cues, a natural pattern starts to form.

3. “How do I know if my baby is getting enough sleep?”
If your baby is feeding well and settling with a bit of support, they’re usually getting what they need. It doesn’t have to look perfect to be healthy.

If you’re in Northern Ireland, the UK or Ireland and you’d like personalised sleep support, I offer one‑to‑one consultations to help you feel more confident and supported. Get in touch to book your sleep consultation.

“We’d both forgotten what a full night’s sleep felt like…”

If you’re raising twins, you already know

Sleep deprivation hits differently

Because it’s not just broken sleep
It’s constant

One wakes, then the other
Different times, different needs
And it feels like the night never actually ends

Taking shifts
Sleeping in separate rooms
Barely seeing each other beyond survival mode

Functioning… but only just

This is where so many twin parents feel stuck
Because it can feel impossible to get two little ones on the same page

But it is possible

With the right structure, the right timing, and a plan that works for both children together

The CALM framework can be adapted to your family
So you’re not constantly firefighting two completely different sleep patterns

It brings everything back into alignment

And when it works…

The shift is huge

Two children
Sleeping through
In their own space

And for you

A full night’s sleep
Sharing a bed again
Actually feeling like a couple, not just co-parents passing each other in the night

Even getting out for dinner
Laughing
Feeling like yourselves again

Those moments are everything 🤍

If you’re in the thick of twin sleep right now, feeling like it’s relentless, you’re not alone
And you don’t have to figure it out on your own either

⭐ Parent Story

“As a single dad, I was carrying all of it alone…”

There’s a different kind of exhaustion that comes with doing this on your own

No one to swap in at 2am
No one to say “I’ve got this one”
Just you, night after night, holding it all together

Multiple night wakings
Long resettles
Trying to function at work the next day on broken sleep

It’s not just tiring
It’s isolating

And when you’re in it, it can feel like there’s no way out

This is where support matters most

Not just a plan
But someone who actually understands your situation

The CALM framework isn’t about creating something unrealistic
It’s about building something that works for your life

Even when you’re doing it solo

A clear structure
Manageable steps
And support alongside you as you go

So it doesn’t feel like you’re figuring it all out alone

And when things start to improve…

It’s not just the sleep

It’s the space you get back

More rest
More clarity
More capacity to cope

Even something as simple as moving your body in the evening
Feeling that shift in your headspace

And that feeling of not being completely alone in it anymore

That’s powerful 🤍

If you’re carrying all of this by yourself right now, you don’t have to keep doing it unsupported
I’m here to help you through it

Bad days happen. Mistakes happen. Tired days happen. For adults and for little ones. None of it means you are failing. Small steps count and asking for help is a strength. The CALM Framework is built to support you through the messy days as much as the good ones. If you want to learn how CALM can help your family sleep with more confidence and ease, comment DISCOVERY.
