Suicide down to Zero

Suicide down to Zero Suicide Down to Zero was founded in 2014 in Northern Ireland. A suicide-safe world, where zero is the only acceptable number.

We work at community level to prevent suicide, reduce stigma, and support people to find help, hope, and connection.

Watch the whole thing if you have a few minutes. Step out from under the pressure for a moment, connect up with friends, family. Link up, live. β€οΈπŸ™

So Many of us are living and dying under all the pressure we are under. You are more than that.

Who helps the helper? Sometimes the Fixer needs a bit of help. Be careful if what you expect of people. πŸ™

Real connection in the most unexpected places. Up in the Ulster Hospital, a small support group formed from shared experience, some pain and a bit of fear. Incredible. β€οΈπŸ™

Thank you Samaritans for all of your hard work. Su***de is a community issue. We need to tackle it together. πŸ™β€οΈ

The pennies and pounds were counted and we managed to make the official donation to Su***de Down to Zero - Β£1200 donated on behalf of Dads and Lads, monies generated during our recent Blitz.

Money is great and helps pay for vital hours of support that the charity can offer...but what was so much more valuable was learning this evening that there have been direct engagements with the charity from people who learnt about the services of SDZ during our blitz. That's the winner...knowing that there are people now on a better pathway to care because of the Blitz and our association with SDZ.

If you want to be a part and think this is a bit of you...come and join Tuesdays 7:45pm St Patrick's Park Saul. Football experience is not essential, we'll have great craic anyway.

Even the smallest exchanges are important. Moments of connection really do matter. πŸ™β€οΈ
