Sometimes the greatest wellness lessons don’t come from experts… they come from a cat. 🐈🌿
Chancer has mastered something many of us have forgotten: listening to his body.
After contrast therapy, it’s completely normal to feel unexpectedly sleepy, hungry, deeply relaxed, or all three. That’s because you’ve encouraged your nervous system to shift away from “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest”—the state where recovery, repair and nourishment happen.
So if your body asks for a nourishing snack, honour it.
If your eyelids become heavy, let yourself rest.
If you feel calmer than you’ve felt all week, don’t rush to fill the silence.
The sauna isn’t just about enduring heat and cold. It’s about relearning how to listen.
Perhaps Chancer has it right after all. 🤍
