From 1st June, patients are encouraged to order their own repeat medication, either through the NHS app, or through the practice website - https://anchor-medical.co.uk/services/managing-your-health-online/online-forms/repeat-prescription-request/

If you are unable to use these methods, you can order your prescription using the prescription box in reception. To help reduce unnecessary waste, please only order the medication you need.

If you are vulnerable or require support with ordering you medication, please speak to your local pharmacy, who can still assist yuou with placing prescription requests. For routine prescription queries, please contact our practice team through the practice website.

We apoligise for any confusion caused by text messages that were sent in error to some patients.

Be reassured that we are here to help with any queries you may have, and these changes will not affect your ability to order your medication.

Dr Alidina will be working his last day at Anchor Medical Practice tomorrow, before he leaves for pastures new in Canada.
We are very sad to lose him as he's been a great addition to the team, and we hope that our patients have appreciated his experience, expertise and service.
We hope you will join us in wishing him well in his new adventure!

It has become apparent recently that the behaviour of some of our patients has become increasingly difficult.
Rudeness, shouting and name calling are just a few examples of the kind of things that our reception team have to deal with on a daily basis.

There will be times when we make mistakes, there will be times when you're impacted by something that is outside of our control, such as medication shortages at the pharmacy.
We understand that these situations can be incredibly frustrating, but please be respectful when dealing with our practice team, as our only aim is to try and help you as best as we can.

You may have seen in the news that GP strikes are taking place from Friday 14th November.
We’d like to reassure all our patients that our practice will be open and running as normal on that day.

Appointments, prescription requests, and all other services will continue as usual.
