Welcome to BIEN, the Brain Injury Experience Network. We do stuff and show you it here. We win stuff and show you it here. But our stuff is unique.

Then we do more stuff and show you it here. BIEN is a user led group. We do it ourselves.

So...what did our wee Brain Injury group get up to on Thurs 20th August? First, we were given a guided tour of the Transport Museum by two tour guides, and had lunch there while we were at it. Tour guides were great. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverside_Museum Then with that over, hey ho, we all boarded a speedboat and fired up and down the River Clyde for a wee while! This was an extraordinary thing for a group like ours to do, and lent to a very memorable day for all of us. It was a day that gave us a confidence in our unity, educated us about transport, fed us, and had us bang out in the fresh air on a thrilling boat ride(!)...what's NOT to like? It was an absoloutely brilliant day.
And aye, it was Ian's birthday! I don't think he had powering up and down the Clyde in a speedboat in his original plans for the day...😆
Here's pics and movies gleaned. (Please note that we were safe at all times, we were forewarned of possible hazzards and were armed with lifejackets and grips for a safe journey - the fellows at https://www.seaforcepowerboats.co.uk/ could not have been more safety conscious.) [Photos may show carers and other persons]

Just a reminder folks, a Get Together, a visit by the Police, a guided tour (this time) of the Transport Museum, and then we're off on the speedboat!
