September is Alzheimer’s awareness month

⭐️ nearly 1 million people in the UK suffer from some form of memory problem
⭐️ it affects 1 in 6 people over the age of 80
⭐️ it has wider impacts on family, friends, colleagues and loved ones

During September the practice will be raising awareness and providing information on support available for those with dementia and those who care for them during what can be a heartbreaking illness

Some GP practices are taking part in a Protected Learning Time session on Tuesday 8 September between 1pm and 6pm.

Practices take part in a number of sessions throughout the year to allow staff to access training. During this time:

Thanks to electronic registration, many appointments can now be completed over the phone, saving unnecessary journeys and making the process more convenient for families. 💻📋

While the way registrations are recorded has changed, the support you receive from our Registrars hasn't. You'll still be guided through every stage by a friendly and experienced member of the team. 💙

Do you have a walking aid that you or a family member no longer uses?

You can return it to a local recycling centre - ask staff for the community equipment recycling container.

The equipment can then be refurbished and used again if it is in good condition.
