Newcastle College today marked the end of their academic year with an Employer Advisory Board held at Newcastle Civic Centre.

This event brings together College Lecturers and staff with Employers and Training Providers across the North East who work closely with the college.

Our collective aim is to support Newcastle College and their ongoing desire to forge lasting partnerships providing work experience, work placements, mentoring and training to name only a few areas.

This is clearly visible in the way that the College staff always put their students first. Cataldo Training Ltd is proud to be amongst this array of organisations.

Today, we reflected on this years achievements and how we can augment and improve going forward. The 2026/27 Academic Year is sure to be a good one and I look forward to seeing what we can do! 😊🔥

Yesterday evening, I was invited to represent Cataldo Training Ltd at the Horden CW F.C. end of 2025/26 season Awards Presentation which was held at Horden Cricket Club.

Chairman Chris Cain, Vice Chairman Malcolm Yorke and Manager Jonny Payne joined forces to not only present the awards but to say some really inspirational words to everyone at the club. We had a great evening with some live music from Hartlepool duo Revolver.

Sponsorship to Cataldo Training is not merely about money but about what we can offer in terms of support. What inspires us most is people coming together within communities and giving their most valuable asset which is their time.

Nowhere epitomises this more than Horden CW FC. They have built something really special here in Horden that everybody can enjoy and be proud of together. We are delighted to continue our support into the 2026/27 season.

Recently, the Cataldo Training badge has found itself in Darlington and Durham. We have delivered EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work courses for a local hotel and a visit to Durham Town Hall. The candidates were absolutely brilliant 😊

We recently delivered a First Aid at Work course at South Shields Sea Cadets. The combined experience of the candidates on the course made for a superb learning experience!

It is always great to see people giving their time towards associations such as the SSSC, which enables our younger generations the chance to do something that bit special.

A fascinating building full of history.

The Durham Business Club event last night at the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham was a superb evening had by all.

The event marked the 45th anniversary of the Business Group and commenced with a touching tribute from Keith Moffat to his father, whom founded the DBG.

Group stalwarts Alison Gittins and Richard Salkeld of Lumo blew out the candles on, and cut the special cake.

Nice to see Marie Nesbit and Neil Anderson and caught up with Gurpreet S Jagpal over the dessert counter! Always great to see Michael Gibson - Creative Photography!

We then had a very insightful and positive fireside chat between Graham Soult FIPM and Kim McGuinness championing everything great about our North East with plenty to look forward to!

The evening was topped off with Aprile Field dishing out some slices of the cake!

This week, the Cataldo Training Ltd badge has found itself in Durham and Seaham 😎

We continue our partnership with Northern Bear Safety in Belmont in delivering EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work courses. We have courses running monthly (please see attached photo for remaining dates in 2026)

We also visited IPS Flow Systems in Seaham, delivering FAAW First Aid at Work and Fire Training across the site.

This morning saw the lads away to Kader FC down the Boro’ for our final match of the season. The lads dug deep and once again made their parents and coaches super proud.

Today also marks the second season that Cataldo Training Ltd has been an immensely proud sponsor of Clegwell.

It has been a joy to see the lads go from strength to strength and stick together. A special mention to the parents and coaches who selflessly do so much to ensure the lads get the chance to do something that they love … and to do it with their mates (nothing beats that!)

Onwards we go!
